Boarding could become a last resort ability on ships. "We are not going down without a boarding"
The enemy ships will simply fire at it until it explodes. Just like they do now. Why waste time thinking about boarding if one can just autoattack and kill... Besides, the game already has enough micromanagement required in battles. Yet another in-battle issue would not help things IMO.

Lag is sometimes caused by a network issue rather than an issue on your computer - sometimes. (Make sure that you don't have any torrent clients running or other downloads / uploads / updates etc) Also, try connecting to the internet from a different internet connection, if possible (hopefully you have wireless). If you do that you might be able to verify whether the problem is with your connection or with your ISP/network.

The phase lane line displayed is only an indication of the center of the phase lane. The actual phase lane extends for something like 30 degrees to either side of the line. Ships ordered to phase jump will be jumping parallel to the phase line, but will not necessarily jump at the line itself.

Over my past few months on ICO I've probably encountered about 15-20 players who've gotten the Mesh error. I've tried to show many of them how to fix it but some of them were too incompetent to navigate through their file system. The error is ridiculously easy to fix (probably a simple batch file would do it), yet I KEEP encountering new players on ICO saying "I can't join games it says something about Mesh files!!!" Can you guys fix the problem already? It&#39
Perhaps to correct the balance sort of thing, make it so that the vasari can block one phase lane at a time for about 2 minutes, give the ability a cool-down, and there you go
That's actually an interesting idea. I don't know if it would be programmable, but it's worth thinking about and isn't broken/OP or useless.

If you're playing the AI and have the freedom to build a ton of Deliverance Engines, you aren't playing in a setting worthy of making conclusions about balance changes. The AI is simply too dumb to even make a semblance of a decent strategic decision without a huge income advantage. Among other weaknesses is the AI's inability to defend against culture if its logistics slots are already filled; the AI has no idea how to scuttle. Consider coming to play online again

So you're Advent being doubled by TECs very close by on both sides. If you don't get feed, you're bound to lose in a tier 0 battle for your homeworld against the two of them in the long run. And if they're both only two jumps away (maybe an asteroid in between?) that means they'll have fleets on your homeworld ASAP - if they're any good. If you're playing mediocre to semi-OK players, one strategy would be to SB up to protect your labs, frigate factories, an

If you play such long games, severe problems are bound to show up. I personally can't stand a game to last for more than an hour and a half or so.

8 Replies 7,257 Views

Sure, it is a difference, it's just that that doesn't mean that the AI is suddenly not playing. And the AI does need to have the research structures in order to research/build things - the research structures just only need to be queued but not necessarily built (I'm pretty sure that's how it works). Same AI, just more (very significant) advantages and bonuses.
