Last I heard they were putting a cap of 4 superweapons in a future patch.
If they actually put a limit in numbers then they would have to give buffs to the superweapons because right now they arn't worth building much at all. It's only in large numbers does the novalith actually do serious damage which is the issue with the TEC loyalists and the AI. Advent superweapon is worthless no matter how much you build.</p
Titans should be the ultimate weapon and crippling if you lose it. Yet they should also not be a must, but an option you can pick as alternative to a large frigate fleet. Them keeping their exp makes sending them on suicide missions just to gain a bit more exp not as bad as it should be. Given their firepower, the option of giving them exp makes an all frigate fleet less viable. Thus I'd rather see them with a purchase system like the starba

The AI is actually detracting from the singleplayer experience since it tends to make weird and stupid decisions making every game an easy steamroll unless you are facing 9 vicious AIs or something. SP advice shouldn't be ignored when it comes to this. They are the one's most affected by it. The novalith buff/nerf has nothing to do with the MP community since none of us ever used it anyways. Games usually end by the time you're able to get one out. Also I play SP m

I am going to have to agree with Mayall here. The AI on a harder difficulty already cheats in money so how in the world can you get a balance notion out of that. Multiplayer and singleplayer games are very different. In multiplayer you can lose the game in under 20 minutes or less depending on the difference in skill level. Balance is the upmost importance here since you are limited in terms of time and resources. You don't have 30 minutes to 1 hour to build up your economy a
Could just be distance. For instance, Galactic Civ (turn based) has a set range/speed a ship can travel a turn. In addition to that, it can only travel a set distance from an occupied starbase/planet. Admittedly, you can modify ships in that game to get a lot longer range, but the principle is sound. Distance WOULD also allow for partial invasion windows, and a lot more tactical movement. The AI would obviously have to take into account where the pl

Doesn't have to be "space simulation" type of realistic movement, but some sort of middle way that transmits the feeling of actually fighting in a solar system would be nice... People keep asking for this, and the default response is usually something lik

I did that once, had a guy I was friends with sub in for a League game when he knew a quarter of the champions and shit all about mechanics and tactics. It doesn't go over well. I'd rather go solo than work with somebody who doesn't know the game. Not that I can blame him, the game isn't his style and if he doesn't like it I'm not going to force him to buy and play

If they do then I expect some horrifically huge buff like for a Novalith killing every ship in that gravity well as well as the planet.

The amount of OP Novalith threads is becoming disheartening. It's not the Novalith that's actually OP. After so long with the novalith for what 4 years? It's only spammable and what people call "OP" once TEC loyalists are able to just rush it out with just 6 military labs. It is the flawed AI that can't seem to be do anything else. The AI with TEC loyalists will just rush out the novalith cannon probably because there is nothing
I believe these screenshots show exactly how they are indeed overpowered. It's ridiculous, playing against an TEC AI is totally unbalanced with their use of the Novalith cannon. It plays no part in a strategy game, since the whole point of strategy is that there should be an effective counter for every weapon, thus making the winning blow come down to strategy... Their use of fifty Novalith cannons obliterating every planet you control at once

There is one hurdle that needs to be overcome. Is Stardock actually gonna give us support for this sort of thing from the get-go? Frankly they havn't done much to promote any form of ladder/professional gameplay. There is also the other reason that the community isn't large enough.

No it's just the CGI making them rotate. The engine hasn't been reworked entirely for Rebellion. You can probably expect it for a proper sequal not just a standalone expansion.
