Pretty much your goal when a Titan comes out is to kill it before it gains any experience. That means you have to be very conservative when fighting one.
I didn't see this in the changelog, but big bug I ran into was with the Vasari. The Starbase mobilization doesn't work. Spent a ton of time and research on it and they wouldn't move out of their system. Ended up quitting the game, since that was a big part of my strategy for that game.
They changed it so that you need a phase gate/node for it to jump? Did you forget that?

Agreed, and unless some major overhauls are made, it will only get worse.
What that we were a very interventionalist nation during the reign of the USSR? What exactly has changed so much from the 1990s to today that we were already? Economy wasn't exac
So you want a mod that focuses solely on capital/flagships? Interesting idea, nobody has yet to do it to my knowledge. Now I don't know how plausible this idea would be for the engine.
It's actually quite the opposite. Most people want complexity and challenge within their games. They want that greater chance of fail but not by bullshit mechanics. If we were intolerant of failing than various rogueslike games wouldn't be here. Faster Than Light an indie game that is successful yet the whole notion is that you will die a ton and it is challenging. Yet it's still successful.
How you don't minidump, boggles my mind.
Probably should also put SW: Ascendancy up there as well.
What's the difference between DLC and Micro-expansions? They're essentially the same thing...
If you're waiting for a mod to update to 1.1 then just stop now. If a 1.1 hasn't come out yet, it won't. The mod will probably just be updated to 1.5 and skip 1.1 And you can't revert back from 1.5 to 1.1 so there isn't a point to make a mod for 1.1
In hind sight, this isn't a surprise to anyone.
You need Steam to run SoaSE either online or offline mode. Maybe they'll let you run SoaSE without the DLC so you can still view the replays. Unsure.
Interesting to say the least.
Great mods get lots of attention. [e digicons][/e]
I am not grouping every single person who speaks up against DRM in a single category. Nor do I agree with the usage of DRM, I too am against Always On DRM. I know of the consequences of it, especially after purchasing SimCity day 1. I am only noting that some people here become unnesseciarly hostile when it isn't something of a "total down with DRM" arguement. Steam however I don't take to be "Always Online" DRM or at lea
I think he was asking if it was legal to actually publish it. Writing it is sorta like fanfiction. As long as you don't profit from it. It's fine.

This isn't a defense of "corporate giants". However you guys just automatically regard every tolerant of DRM as a supporter of corporations.I find you guys to be very aggressive when it comes to people who disagree with YOUR OPINION/VIEW</stron
Why should it be Earth? For all we know the TEC is in another galaxy for all we care despite being human. Like Star Wars, there's humans but no Earth since it's in a "Galaxy far far away"
It'll always exist. Much like it happened in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Just this time it's between consumer protection and corporate ownership rather than workers' protection and corporate authority. It doesn't help that US Copyright Laws are very outdated when it comes to Intellectual Protection for software.

He did not say heavy, intrusive, or always on. If you wish to make a respectable arguement then actually argue the damn points he's making. "NOT illegal to modify legally purchased software for one's own personal use</
You should really consider getting Rebellion. It's 66% off I believe atm. Pretty much everybody moved to Rebellion.
You'll find that this forum is heavily against the DRM situation by a really really heavy majority. Stardock attracted a lot of people with the whole Gamer Bill of Rights deal and anti-DRM policy.
Yeah Federation won't get a dedicated warship till the Defiant and Soveriegn classes come along way into the TNG era.

It seemed impossible at the moment till they were proven wrong. Exactly my point, it seemed impossible at the time. Only a fool would make such an assumption and you would think in that day and age the lesson would have been learned. Nothing is impossible.
When you're one of the biggest powers in
