Sorry Elsius, but I think you'll have to count me out on this one. I don't skin Windowblinds, and I've no interest in doing so yet. It's a nice idea though, and if that sample is anything to go off, something Blade Runner-esque could be a direction for the blind. Thanks for the compliment too. Morale boosts are always greatly appreciated, though I don't consider myself to be in the same league as the other skinners you mentioned.

No problem, Bryan. Unfortunately your CPU runs on the LGA775 socket, and there are no motherboards using it that have native SATA III support. That means the only options available to you would be to upgrade the CPU, mummyboard and probably the memory (not sure if LGA775 uses DDR2 or DDR3 memory, I suspect it's the former, though I could be wrong), or, buy something like the Crucial C300 128GB that I have so you're not severely limiting your read speed, or, get a latest generation SSD

I've never seen Twilight on principal. When I was told that the Vampires sparkle, the only thing I could think of was the video for 'Can You Feel It' by The Jackson 5. I'll take a 30 Days of Night Vampire over sparkly Vampires any old day of the week.

I remember an article by some guy who was using a virtual RAM drive for Photoshop. I think it was the free version of Dataram he was using too. I downloaded the software, but couldn't wrap my head around how to set it up as a scratch disk. I may have a play with it again when my next rig is up and running as I'll have 12GB in that, so a 4GB Ram disk isn't going to be taking too much away. I have 8GB in my present rig.

We're getting closer to the $1 per GB mark for SSD's, and at one point few believed that would ever happen. Anyone who knows anything about computers should be using an SSD as their OS drive if nothing else, and seeing as we're the go-to people for friends and family who know nothing about computers, it's only right that we should show them the benefits of SSD computing. Once I get my new rig built, I'll be giving this one to my brother. I can't see how he'll possi
