There seem to be a lot of nutters running around Europe at the moment. A couple of articles I've read lately have pointed out that (ultra) Right Wing Nationalism is growing throughout Europe, and support for such groups has been rising on places like Facebook, etc. If there's any credence to what these articles say, things are looking worse than I thought, and if left unchecked, a very bad part of History is maybe going to repeat itself.
