Ok I figured it out... I had to Control Alt Delete to open the task manager, which minimized the game, and then when I maximized the game back, the blank screen was reset.

So.. I just bought the game on steam a few days ago, it was 50% so couldn't pass it up. Playing through the tutorial and I accidentally pressed Control+ESC Now my screen has gone blank, except for the mouse cursor. The game is still running, as I can hear its music and sound effects and the AI telling me that I "need more logistics" - which, I cant do, with a blank screen! lol I tried pressing control+esc again thinking it might reset it, but that didnt wor
I do not get very much lag, no matter how many units are on the map... Not until I research either one of the orbital refinement techs, or a trader tech; resulting in those little ships flying around... Once the trader/merchant/refinery ships start appearing on the map, then it starts getting all bogged down, and ONLY after those ships start appearing. Its annoying as heck, so I don't research any of those unless I am close to winning cause I don't want them s
That seems to have been the solution... For TEC Rebels, it was in the diplomacy research tree; which is the research tree that I've rarely ever bothered with cause I find its kinda useless when playing against the computer AI... as I tend to just focus as much as I can on military tech and go on the offensive until the AI is stuck in a corner with just a small handful of planets...
Why is it when playing against the computer AI, and you research your culture spread up to where it can entice "rebels" to randomly attack your opponent... The Rebels do not do a thing, at all... They show up at the opponents planet, and then they just sit there, and do nothing and the AI's ships ignore them as well...then when I get there to take the planet away from the AI, I've got a swarm of rebels there that have slowly accumulated, and then attack me when I show
Oh I am finding them quite easy to defeat. They show up in Grey Colored ships, baring a Skull for an emblem... maybe that's what they always look like but as I said this is my first experience with the game. My Game Version according to Impulse is v1.32, dated 8/16/2011... And correct, they are not arriving from the Phase Lanes... either that or these Phase Lanes must have a very Wide field of entry... if, looking at my Planet and its Gravity Well as though it were
Not entirely sure what Version I have. I can find out when I get home tonight, but I would presume it is whatever the Latest Version is, as I bought the Trinity Package online from Impulse and just did the digital download from there. I will presume that this forces the user to have the latest and most updated version? As for those pirates... I kinda don't have a choice other then to fight them off, they always show up almost right away, and they always a
Greetings all... new to the Game here, just picked it up a couple weeks ago after a friend suggested it to me and so grabbed the Trinity package and just getting started on learning the game. I am having a little trouble though with my strategy, as I think I am building too many Orbital Beam Platforms to defend my home world. So, is there a way to destroy some of my own Beam platforms to make room for other orbital structures? I've tried ordering my ships to attack
