Stardock has already made a pretty damned good Space RTS. I'd personally rather they focus on making the ground/air/naval combat as good and varied as they can, and leave the space combat to Sins.

I've noticed this as well. I haven't seen an option to select spawn positions. I tried to play a 3v3 earlier but the spawns were selected in such a way that each corner of the map contained 2 players from one team and 1 player from the other, which sucked.
