Won't DOWing Minors also help to increase war monger negatives towards you? That being said, if you need those planets and it fits your game plan go take them but be prepared for a pissed off Thalan as now you'll be sharing borders as well.
Well I've been sharing borders with Thalans for like 200+ turns now. I sent them several trade routes. But t'll be good to prepare for just in case three

There's a sector next to Thalans that has three great worlds controlled by two minor civilizations, if I was to go and take all three would that piss off all my neighbors? I'm thinking of civ5 level of penalties or is there none? Because I'd like to slap the Marauders around cuz they keep on complaining to me. And the second minor civilization named Arken actually managed to expand to another world, I didn't think they could do that. So minor civilizations can expand t

After noticing those two planets, I finally understood the intention behind the label. But I believe it's bit too hasty to label them as dead worlds

If one want to see why retreat ability isn't generally part of the games, all one has to do is check out the tv series named Battlestar Galatica the new one, to see how unfun that would be. Its very very difficult to destroy ships that's unwilling to fight you if they have FTL capabilities. Cylons try to wipe the humans out but that tiny group of 60+ ships just retreated every single time the cylons engaged unless Cylons engaged them in very small numbers only then the humans fought.

Not an angry thread. Just asking questions. Cuz I just bought galciv3 today and managed to beat the tutorial after 5 hours of learning on the map. I checked 7+ star systems which resulted in discovery of 10+ dead worlds and one of the star systems was completely empty on a large map size. Then my now confused colonizer got shot down by pirates after searching for a long while for a planet to colonize. W

I saw in Galciv3 forums that one of the devs was thinking that turning off the Fog of War cheat might actually help AI focus it's armies better. They're probably busy testing that in galciv3 atm.

I disregard Marigoldran claims cuz he don't play a map to suffer the fallout from his own exploits when Ai comes around to kill him. Because I bet he is defenseless so he quits a map before Ai sends their fleets to annex his worlds easily. And probably plays on doctored settings so that he can expand like a virus by making sure there is no neutral hostiles to annex his defenseless worlds by switching them off.

Number 6 is legitimate strategy in my eyes. However it should add an "You led pirates to our star systems!" negative modifier to the AI. Additionally it is the AI's fault for not having the shipyard defended in the first place and you was just fleeing for your life. To cue a moment from civ5 series, I had barbarians chasing my wounded units, and they was in large enough of a mass to make me keep on fleeing instead of trying to heal up and battle. And in the fog of w

Well, If I had a starbase orbiting planet Earth, I would expect it to rain death upon enemy ships deliberately ignoring the starbase in favor of invading my homeland. And I would want to see it blow up aliens that's coming to kill me otherwise I will rebel against the government to have one good last hurrah fun because I will be dead soon so it don't matter if I blow up a bunch of stuff for fun. Additionally it is demoralizing to watch a starbase be useless desp

The dead AI plays very poorily because I think the dev team is feeling averse to making the AI build town halls etc. I killed them when they needed that one death shard and they couldn't build the town hall. The difference was one more radius would have given them a death shard into their radius. And then that would have enabled morrigan's call for them, there was two death shards reachable if it built townhalls and other upgrades. That happened last year.

I notice that army size has increased up from nine to fifteen. And how much of destiny's favor does a priest get? And I think temple should be available to everyone because people on all continents worshipped gods and denied gods existence. Unique building likely should be something else because temple feels very generic and belongs to everyone to me due to how commonplace religion is.

Sometimes I get a itch and restart until I get a start that gives me a river and lumbermill connected to a single tile where I will settle the city on. I just really wanted lumbermills and piers in my capital. :( As long as it have at least 1 grain and 4 production, I'm good to go! But I once got that kind of spot then a tile where there was four essence slots but no forest/river connected to that tile. I couldn't decide and so I shut down for the day.
