Try Kiting the Titans into minefields, and turret range. I am surprised phase missiles aren't having much of an effect since advent are all about shields. Phase missiles should be doing some major damage. I never had to fight a lvl 10 Eradica so this info is good to know. Edit: Oh man this is what i get

Not to mention the very fact that each sequential armor is worth less in a way works in your favor as well- Getting a bunch of armor means that the armor stripped from you by armor reducing effects is less valuable(since an armor subtraction always removes the most recently acquired points of armor first). IE: Going from 0 armor to -6 is a 43% incoming damage increase. Going from 4 armor to -2 is a 33% incoming damage increase. Going from 6 armor to 0

We're 2 months post release and waiting for the big patch that fixes everything that was brought to their attention during Beta. As I've said before Wail is probably overpowered(and frankly the Eradica probably is as well). That said, I maintain changes should be handled very carefully. The Advent Rebels are in a rather starnge place balance-wise. They don't really have a strong foundation built on a large number of useful tech so much as they have two absolute bombs which make them competitive. Under the surface they suffer from many of the same issues
I was actually inspired by watching Nayru play Advent Loyalists in a few games where he starts with 1 mil-2 civ temples and gets culture temples up right away. This gives him the earlier culture bonuses and (increased allegiance and shield mitigation based if I remember right for Advent) helps prevent colonization in early scrabbles with nearby enemies. He actually de-colonized an enemy planet using culture allegiance drop within 15 minutes o
Honestly I'd just like to see the Titan's period of vulnerability reduced and the risk of building a titan increased(greater consequences to building one and letting it die) perhaps something like: -increase amount of experience required for each level up by 50% -increase exp granted for killing enemy titans by 50% -reduce the damage of ranks 1 & 2 of non level titan AoE damage abilities(for examples Er
It's well known that the Coronata is regarded as one of the weaker titans at present. One major contributer is simply that it levels up much slower then most other titans. This is of course in part to be expected, as it's the only titan in the game with no form of AoE damage, which is largely unavoidable at this point. But that's not the only reason the Coronata levels slowly- Subjugating Assault, by stealing enemy ships also denies the Coronata food even in a

Wouldn't the StarBase gain health by being attacked? Probobly a stupid question.100% reduction means it takes half damage and 200% means it takes 1/4 damage. Sins is silly like that
Incorrect. 200% reduced damage means 1/3 damage not 1/4. Sims c
In a vacuum the damage buff is pretty good-the main problem is it's not nearly good enough to justify going that deep into the notoriously sparse harmony tree rather then just building hostility temples.
any chance you could maybe give us some more details so we can figure out what stopped the damage? Are you sure all 40 squads of bombers were alive and hadn't just been more or less shot down by the time the capitalship had 266 hull left? If your 40 squads of bombers were definitely all alive are you sure they were actually attacking? A large presence of Halcyon Carriers or Kortuls could potentially keep them from actually firing or a single Akkan usin
Honestly I think repossession would be plenty strong if Assimilated Populace & Cowards submission were actually strong techs and worked with it(in the case of assimilated populace). Also I had a rather oddball idea on Fury of the Unity: Fury of the Unity: move to Hostility Tree, maybe T4 or T5. Instead of current effect grants the following: +20% damage with Autocannons, Missiles, Pulse beam, & w
.... My biggest question is: is the culture buff multiplicative or additive with the PM bypass chance? I assumed additive, but if it is multiplicative then the 20% culture buff would be 20% of 30%, which is only 6%...that'd still leave a 24% chance to still bypass, and if that's the case then I definitely agree that is a pathetic buff...
Should be pretty easy to test: set the first
If he's massing Halcyon Carriers with TK push, in all honesty you're probably not going to get much done with bomber spam. It may be a better bet to devote carriers to fighters to keep the air clear and deal your damage in other ways. In general, first thing you want to get done when fighting any advent fleet is force their Progen motherships to die or withdraw. That's the main thing outsustaining your damage output. Also Dunovs are great Against the Advent.
There's been a lot of talk recently on how overly titan-focused the game is, in large part due to Titan AoE damage marginalizing pretty much all non-carrier frigates late game. Even in diplomacy before the rise of titans, most of the early game frigates lost usefulness by late game for less pronounced but similar issues. Now a series of rather interesting thoughts came to me a little bit ago, going something like this: Point 1: &n

I have a 1500 point fleet and a full starbase and level 5 VR titan. I admit its probably hopeless at this point. I can attack with everything I have at the Eradica for minutes without dropping its shields or hull at all
5 levels down on your titan means you may have
WIll be funny to laugh at Eradica's Unyielding Will when stardock increases the cost of losing a titan. not really a problem though- with it's basic abilities the Eradica doesn't really even need a level 6 ability to be an outstanding titan- whatever it's level 6 gives is just icing on the cake.
Introduction: As most know the Advent Loyals are currently one of the game's weakest factions all considered. I've spent the better part oft he last week mulling over their problems and what is causing the faction as a whole to be rather lackluster. Until recently I often put a lot of blame on the coronata, but in all honesty with recent buffs to the coronata and the nerfs to snipe

The Advent rebels have long been in a kind of weird place: under the surface they suffer from many of the same problems as their loyal bretheren- but they are kept a highly competitive race primarily because they have 2 absolute bombs at their disposal: The Eradica and Wail of the forsaken. That's not to say all their new tools suck- they made out better in general then the advent loyalists as they have some nice eco techs(Revive & Expulsion) And two l

Game's called Sins of a Solar Empire for a reasons- frankly while there are various levels of jackassery, frankly I don't think any of the factions are really someone you want running your planet. At the very least none have the local's best interests at heart as is demonstrated by each empire's refusal to capture a planet by any means besides ORBITAL BOMBARDMENT- stop and think for a moment how terrifying a thing you are doing when you rightclick that e
