Blast, just realized I put this thread in the sins rebellion section of the forum rather then the beta feedback section. Aw well, the discussions been great so I suppose it's not a huge issue.

I just looked at the files for the last 2 patches and its not 2 levels... Yup, its pretty much that. i didn´t understood it coz´ it has only 1 level Planet for a Planet may be useful. Yester

Repossession has been in a sort of rough place ever since it was restricted from hitting capitals- while I understand the capital game type made this necessary, part of the original strength of the skill was that you could ignore enemy border worlds and rip out the proverbial beating heart of their empire, regardless of the presence of hostile culture. With the removal of the ability to repossess artifact/capital planets the only really amazing uses
[quote who="SithLordAJ" reply="14" id="3146716"] Quoting Vatticson, reply 12I still don´t undestand that mysterious 5% bonus damage in culture I don't understand you're confusion. The tech is supposed to make anything you own that has weapons and is under the influence of your culture deal X% more damage. Lvl 1 X= 5, Lvl 2 X= 10. That's pretty straightforward. what is unclear about it? Bilun: I agree about moving up Fury... And about yo

I was building novas.. but regardless, there is no reason i push of a button should kill an ENTIRE fleet in a gravity well. This ability was reserved for the TEC starbase... not a 7 civic labs ability. BTW, it was on an ASTEROID, i wasnt even on a Terran <br
[quote who="Volt_Cruelerz" reply="12" id="3146421"]Now for Unity Mass.. Hmm.. Well, clearly Snipe is the axial gun to end all axial guns. Unfortunately, Unity Mass fundamentally does the same thing (nukes the target) with less range and needs supporting ships from which to draw power. Perhaps the simplest change would be to make Unity Mass supercharge the Coronata's weapons following the beam itself. That would make it more dynamic and fit more with the
Ah well, I was completely unaware the conversion chance scaled to level. the infocard doesn't reflect this at all so I'd assumed it was constant. That's good to hear(though they really should add something to the infocard). In anycase in a few minutes I'll make some updates to my OP as a result of these discussions. [EDIT: That's odd, the quote isn't displaying properly in the OP. I've tried copy a
[quote quoting="post"] So, picture this. I had a 5th level TEC fleet with corvettes, gardas, 23 carriers, a titan, and an akkan. All upgraded (hull, shields all the way up, armour to the 3rd level). Then i get 'wailed' on. Entire fleet is gone How on earth is that fair. Wail is like having an infinite RB in a gravity well with no warning to use my armistice to protect my fleet. &nbs
[quote who="MayallCommunion" reply="46" id="3146346"] Quoting Ryat, reply 45 Quoting bilun, reply 43That said if repulse were to be nerfed it would have to be handled very carefully. It's one of the advent fleet's most important tools. This I agree with. I do agree as well, I never said it needed a hard nerf. Personally I think if they nerf the range to where they can be hit by most units they would be fine. Merely because this spell should not be a 10
[quote who="Volt_Cruelerz" reply="6" id="3146331"]It would be less than 8.75 actually. I just discovered that the AA guns of the Coronata also pass the buff. (1/7.5+1/6.5+1/5.5)=1.88 chances per second. After ten seconds, that's 18.76 chances which given the 10% chance at maximum level (it's only 4% at level 1), suggests a very high likelihood of capture. Strictly speaking, it would be a 187.6% chance of success, which frankly means yes unless it's bug
Don't both Javelis and Assailants using Charged missiles outrange Repulsion? Either one is capable of making guardians dead(especially Assailants with phase missiles). Also Microed bombers won't be made useless by a single Halcyon. all you have to do is make sure your whole bomber swarm isn't within the range of telekinetic push at the same time, which can easily be accomplished by splitting your bomber swarm between multiple targets and/o
[quote who="Volt_Cruelerz" reply="1" id="3146182"]Hmm.. Subjugating Assault: The Coronata's forward guns are it's beams and plasma which have cooldowns of 7.5 seconds and 6.5 respectively. Since it also has three targets on it's forward bank, that should mean that given the 10% chance of capture, in a period of 10 seconds, you'd have 8.6 chances, or a chance of 86%. In a given second of having this ability active, it should be 8.6%. <br /
Honestly I think this Tech could be the missing part of the equation if moved *mush* earlier in the tree. At present despite the advent loyalist's early culture techs it's really not too hard for the opponent to avoid losing much allegiance with the use of capitalship culture repel and perhaps a culture building of their own. It's prohibitively difficult to really cause any meaningful lasting damage via culture presses early. &nb
The coronata is still lagging behind the other titans IMO. The recent changes really haven't done much to address the real issues. The problem has never been that the cornata is "slightly" lacking in firepower as the recent small damage buffs imply. The coronata's firepower is and always has been pathetic- the thing is it is pathetic by design. The Coronata is supposed to be a support titan so they should stop trying to fix it by buffing it's weapon damage

Abilities: hmm, well first off, letting capitalships autocast as a rule is a bad idea(the AI sucks for most abilities). A few abilities are alright to autocast(perhaps Radiance Animosity, Rapture vertigo, and Halcyon Anima tempest are OK to autocast). In general be wary of letting your ships autocast anything that will quickly run them out of AM. Even vertigo which I listed as "ok" can run Raptures out of AM quick at lower levels.</p
[quote who="The_Regicide" reply="22" id="3145269"]This is something I've said before and isn't in the game for god knows what reason. When launching, Pirates should attack ALL players with an active bounty. HOWEVER, the size of the fleet sent to each player depends on the amount of the bounty. ADDITIONALLY, the total sum of pirates are only slightly affected by the total sum of the bounties, and they are primarily affected by the average fleet size cap of all the players in
hard to say only from the information you've given. A fully mature Advent fleet should kick the teeth of an easy computer in. What sort of fleet composition you using generally? What capitalships do you prioritize? Are you actually manually casting your capitalship abilities or are you leaving them on autocast? Are you Issueing focusfire orders to your fleet and otherwise microing your
Been wondering for awhile how the info-card listed damage is distributed between titan fore, aft, left, and right banks. Obviously a few weapons are fore-only(these can be picked out fairly well just by watching the ship fire. That said, for weapons that are present on all 4 banks of a titan(such as the beam weapons on advent titans for a rather broad example), how is the info card damage distributed? Is it equally distributed? More heavil
Doesn't rank 4 Detonate Antimatter have a 100% uptime as long as Radiance's AM supplies last? A rather tricky counter to reliably have access to, but it's a start. But yeah, I'm skeptical about the wisdom of this buff.
blast, so I guess Assimilated Populace is still busted.
Also this isn't the first time they've buffed the Adjucator by reducing the target count and increasing the damage. It's a pretty clear solution whent he adjucator's chief problem is that it's only strength(a ton of targets) is impractical being that your rarely have more then 2-3 structure targets clustered together you actually care about destroying in a given situation. Not to say Phb isn't psychic *puts on tin-foil hat*

But I like watching the disoriented titan do uncharacteristically quick backflips for the next minute.
