Dear Stardock Team, I am a dedicated user of Fences and greatly appreciate the functionality it brings to the desktop organization. However, I have a suggestion for enhancing the layout capabilities that would make the tool even more powerful and user-friendly. I propose the addition of the following features to the Layout options: Ability to select individual groups of windows and perform alignment actions: Align Tops </l

Is there ever a chance that Fences will eventually be able to actively work on Windows 11 Multiple Desktops (accessed via Windows TaskView)? At the moment when in TaskView all Fences are invisible and (although they appear on each desktop) cannot be dragged to a different Windows virtual desktop. Is there an alternative process to using Windows TaskView (perhaps Stardock has an alternative multiple windows alternative that will work with Fences?)
I turned off Defender completely. It is achieved by tweaking the registry and Windows accepts that you have turned it off and will not turn it back on again at any update. (It still downloads the Defender Updates but does not turn defender back on). That is quite goodm because if you ever DO want to go back to Defender (goodness knows why...I gather from what I have read that it affects system efficiency with it's constant checking) then you know it will be up-to-date, at
This is really a question that only programmers (.NET programmers) may be able to answer. I have written the following code, designed to ascertain the number of icons on the main desktop. It works provided the icons are not stored in a "Fence" placed on the desktop via the program "Fences". <
I have just bought a new HP Pavilion running under Windows 8.1 (bought it yesterday) and I installed Windows 2.0 (which had suddenly stopped working under Windows 7 Professional for some reason about 10 months ago), and the program runs OK, except, like everyone else I cannot move Icons around the desktop and into or out of Fences (the "AutoArrange" into Fences works, but once the icons are in a fence I cannot move
I have finally found version 2.11 but still no luck! Will I ever get my Fences back again?
I too am suddenly having this propblem and try as I might I cannot get fences.exe to run in the background (it is in "startup" bya registry entry but never loads.
I used to run Fences withoput the Aero running, so the fact that Aero is off should not make a difference. My Fences started stopping after my User folders were accidtally deleted by a so-called system utility used to optimise my computer. (I have ditched that utility needless to say). I am currently trying to restore all my folders from a backup and when that is finished I hope (fingers crossed) that Fences will run again. It is possible that there is d
Where can I get version 2.11? I have tried for three weeks o get 2.12 to work and it continually says it is not started. I have tried all "fixes" such as Task Scheduler etc. with all Stardock's remidies and nothing works. Complete uninstall of 2.13 and install of downloaded 2.11 froman external source did not work. I am runnng under Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I thinbk my days of usiong Stardock software is drawing to a close.
I too have just struck this problem. I cannot start fences from the registry keys (which are stored as "/startup" in the start menu.
Yes, I too am having the same problem under Windows XP SP3. I have also noticed that System Restore and "Big Fish Games Manager" are not functioning correct;y (but whether this is due to Fences 2 or not I have not yet ascertained).
