It's great to get so much help. I'm onto a solution, I think thaat will not require any mods. It's the scroll bar/sliders (the rectangular mouse-grabber-handle and the horizontal or vertical strip of real estate it calls its own) that is my concern. They are mostly bright white on bright white. WindowBlinds has let me color some of the bars, but only after searching and finding it. A thin bar on a long web page is near impossible. I licensed WindowBlinds on advice of a Microwsoft MVP, and sure enoiugh WindowBlinds offers a dazzling array of choices and awesome skins, but after literally a hundred tries I have failed to accomplish my simple goal ...
