This often happens to me. In tactical combat when I try to hit a enemy I have to click the hex next to it to deliver the blow. Hovering over the enemy unit itself gives no option for attack. Usually I need to hover over the empty hex to the units right, to be able to attack.

The map I am now playing seems to be going well. Saying that, I haven't met the AI yet. Tell the truth I don't want to meet the AI, because the game will probably go downhill from there, unless I can kill it's arse, which I would very much like to do. I would like to do a lot of horrible things to the AI in this particular game.
Overall, I must ask, how do you expect the AI to behave? How do you want it to behave?
I would like the AI to take war seriously, only declaring war as a last resort. As it stands the AI acts like a school yard bully, declaring war on me simply because I won't give up my pocket money. <span style="font-s
Its not so much it being hard as it being the AI pestering, nagging and griefing me. It just interferes to much. Who's game is it, mine or the AI's? [e digicons]
@Grogtank I will give it a another go playing along the lines you describe. I am getting pretty tired of stating new games after the last being killed by the AI, but I think I may have a few more try's left in me before I give up. [e digicons]x_x[/e]
I play on easy because I want a casual and easy game, nothing to difficult. I usually play easy on a medium map with only 3 AI. I am able to expand a little and build a army of about 4 to 5 units, kill some monsters and loot some lairs. Then I meet the AI, and I know my game is about to take a nose dive. They start asking for money and even if I have it, giving it away normally has me going into debt. A few turns more and here comes the war decs (same
For me this is a 5 star game reduced to a 2 star game because of the terrible AI. I play on easy, but never get a chance to settle into my game before the AI declares war on me. It wars on me for no reason but for me not giving it money that I don't even have. I am not a war strategy genius, I just want to enjoy the game. How ever much I try, it builds and expands 10 times faster tha
Windows: It's over http://www.zdnet.com/windows-its-over-7000013964/ What are we going to do now? It is the end of the world as we know it. [e digicons]:pout:[/e]
It's so easy to fix. Get rid of the Explore button
I second this motion. Explore and it's bloody button, are a pain in the index finger.
The offer is there you just have to mess about a bit to find it. First time I tried I kept getting the full price, can't remember now how I got to the offer. They don't make it easy.
I wonder which was, or will be, the biggest flop for Microsoft, Windows millenium, windows vista or Windows 8?
I think those daft people at Microsoft need to be sent a message. Keep desktop computing separate from their daft tablets and phones. Windows 8; never. I would rather go over to Linux full time.
That's nothing, my mighty mage was brought down by a scabby mutt pet poddle in her first battle. And the game was on easy. Mighty magic sovereign my bum, super wimp more like.
Okay then. When Kerberos have made amends with Sots2 to the same degree as Stardock has with the elemental series, then I may consider their future titles. But until that happens.......it burns the hands. ;)
I don't think I would buy anything from these jokers ever again. Mega fail company.
I think maybe the Battle Isle series kept me occupied the longest. They are doing a remake here. http://battle-worlds.com/ Pretty excited about this.
We can only have LH on steam atm. When the game is finished will we be able to have a Stardock copy or will LH be Steam only?
I to wondered why 1.4 was sitting on the shelf for so long, but now that all is explained, then all is good. :)
Quoting parrottmath, reply 16 A feature request to highlight the explorer button when exploring is activated. Less of an issue now that I see the path that a unit is taking, but it would be nice to know that it is because they are exploring. Yeah, thats a big one. Its on our list too. Brad submitted it in his feedback. Soren submitted it in his feedback. Everyone wants it.

Considering the amount of hazards a unit could auto-walk into, and that they have no problem with walking right up to a monster 100x more powerful than they are, I think the Explore option should simply be removed from the game.
Yes. I mean does anyone ever use the explore function? Yes the AI does, but nothing seems to bother the AI, like it has really bad BO or something. &n
This update has been advertised for a month now. What year is it due for release? [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Would this be why the game I played after playing LH lagged like hell until Irestarted my computer? Could very well be.
Best played with autoselect and autoturn 'off'. They are both fail and create vast confusion.
I figured it out when it happened to me. It's the X button. In city view it razes a city, but when you have troops selected, it puts them in explore mode. I agree there should be an indication that explore is on.
Thanks. I will look into it because it is still happening to me, and it's really annoying.
