Just a wild thought, could the "Rate this skin" button be moved to the bottom of the "comments" page and let the current rating show where it does presently? This might encourage those wanting to rate the skin to also place a comment, or at least see what other people are saying. We could end up with better comments by comparing opinions of others with our own thoughts about a new skin we've just downloaded and are trying out.
Zoomba, your point is well taken. Although I've not commented out loud, I have wondered "How did this post show up under this topic" not thinking about how Joe User migrates into WinCustomize. There are pleanty of rambilings that go on here, If the topic doesn't intrest me, I just move on to another, without flaming the poster. I'm taking a quick look in my dictionary to see if they removed the word "privilege". It used to be a privilege to shop in a store, and the merchant had the privilege of recieving my money for goods or services. What happened to that concept? Second vote for spellchecking! Also better security between the OS and the applications. It's fine for "Word" to be the default text editor for "Outlook", but snagging a bad macro in Word shouldn't be able to jump into the system files or your email client and address book.

The old saying "Out of sight, out of mind"? If we could customize this list on a per-viewer basis, those who have an intrest in the less popular apps., would have them displayed. Then someone that uses Kewlpad or the others would more likely keep the activity level higher. As it is, these catagories remain hidden and forgotten. Instead of icons in the system tray, a text based hidable side bar that would show not just the application but the document(s) that are opened also. This could be something semi transparent that would slide out on hitting the screen border, or stay visible along side of your current task. This would free up the taskbar for other kinds of information weather it be system stats., a stock monitor, task timer, or other things that one would like to keep
The fact that your "download count" increases is only an indication of the quality of your work and how much it is enjoyed by us less talented. If you have the time and ambition, I will surely decorate my desktop with your creations!

Update, I uninstalled DesktopX, unloaded Windowblinds, cleaned out all the leftover files, Installed ObjectDock with no success. "As he scratches his head and crawls off to the corner to pout."
I haven't tried rolling back DX3, but it's worth a shot, the strange thing is, that my laptop is crusing along with no problems even though I have kept both computers up-dated.
ObjectDock has been not loading properly for several days now. I have uninstalled, cleaned out the remaining files form the appliction data folder and run a "clean install" several times. Each time the same result, it only gets part way loaded. If you check the TaskManager, you see it there with a memory usage of arount 6,000-6900kbs., but not showing on the desktop. It may not be related, but I noticed this problem after my re-boot when I had fini
In the DesktopX forums, There is a posting by Richard Mohler about the analog clocks. The fix was installing a different plugin into your DX program "plugins" folder which worked for my analog clocks. If you download his "Diamond clock", the plugin is in the zip file.
I was able to find the fix for the analog clock hands not showing, now I'm looking to get the time to show in digital clock widgets. I've cleared my cache as recomended, to no avail. Any ideas?
That did the trick for the analog clocks, but didn't work on the digital clocks that I've downloaded. Is there another .dll needed to correct the problem?
For thosse of us that have an older, less capable system for one reason or another, check this out: I'm running a Dell Dimensions V400, with a celeron 400Mhz processor and 256 Mb of ram, and XP Pro installed on this Win 98 machine. Windowblinds has no problem at all, Widgets thrive, CursorXP is happy, ObjectDock is a little slow on the mouse-over (more time to enjoy those cool icons!). All other app's operate at the same startup speed as without all
WindowBlinds/Themes are my preference, it's the backbone of ObjectDesktop and WinCustomize!

WindowBlinds, matching wallpaper of course, IconPackager, Widgets, ObjectDock, with LiteStep as my shell, and OD Launchpad to keep it all within reach! Any more and my C400 processor goes "Bonkers".
