I'm throwing away my crayons and taking up knitting!
Isn't it strange, here I am on a "Windows" customization site, reading about operating systems while running Linux FC2! Its all about usability. The variety of programs make Windows the leader. The other alternatives are either more expensive or take more configuring, and the payoff being they are not prime targets for exploiting or viruses. And just as auto makers watch the reaction of potential customers at car shows, the computer industry watches
I was going to show this to my wife, but then, maybe not!
I have to put a plug in for the Eagles. I'll be watching and still be at the computer!
Now this is what I've been looking for, don't know how I missed it, thanks for pointing it out!
My nick is a name my family used when I was a kid, I just spelled it backwards which is a long story by its self. My avatar is that elusive item in computer instructions "Press Anykey to continue" just a sick sense of humor I guess.
Lynx, butch: try to remember, for every negative comment there are usualy many positive remarks that were never made.(but should have been) Both of you add diversity to the libraries here and would be missed if you leave. Keep skinning and posting, I, for one enjoy and appreciate your talent!
Brad, You just need another Screen Name. Something that makes you sound like your about 17, arrogant, ignorant, and obnoxious. Then you'll blend in on those messageboards and no one will pick on you. Hehehe!
Just another point to everything already said, yes there are great and less-than-great uploads in many libraries. Thats where our "browsing prefferences" comes in to play. You can choose not to view anything with less than a set rating, or set it low so all uploaded entries appear in the library. Isn't that the reason there is a "star" rating system?
Sounds like a plan! I wish you luck, and I agree, the classes at Skinartistry are exelent! Happy New Year Dr. Nick
Firefox is an excelent alternative to IE. It gets skinned except for the toolbar icons, they stay the same. As stated above, give it a couple of days use, you will be impressed. As for the extensions, it gives functionality that IE doesn't come close to. The only thing you will need IE for is "Windows Updates", Microsoft gets their fur bristled about that. </f
Don't count the candles, only the cards! Happy Birthday
It's ok to be "easy", as long as you get "asked" first!
I'm not sure if support is finding these as they go along or if you have to contact them, but they do fix things up in a hurry. I'm glad you got your page going!
Jeff, so I started thinking "what can I do"?, I took up your sugestion and took up one more line and pushed the offending title off the page. I don't mean to take the law into my own hands, but if that is the only way to make things more presentable at this time, than I'm guilty. I hope no one gets the wrong idea about me, actually I'm quite passive.
Sorry if you came here hoping to read something intresting. I just wanted to put one more title in the "Newest" column to push an unsavory title off of the page.
It is good that we have Moderators who make sure that articles written here are of an appropriate nature. I'm glad to see that postings that are abusive or are agains WinCustomize policy are removed. The next step needed is to find away to remove the "Headline" that points to a non-existant article. Even more importantly when the headline itself is grossly inappropriate! This is, after all, a family friendly website. I'm guessing there is a p
I'm chemically dependent! Only one cup of coffee a day, then I refill it about 15 times.
Thanks to great customer support, I'v been able to create my page. Frogboy, you have a great staff!
Variety, The spice of life. Either a new visual style or a port of another OS, all adds to making Windows look and function differently and keeps life intresting!
I tried to creat my page, says I don't have access, I checked my account, says I'm level 5, should be able to. Any ideas?
And now for the "low end" a Dell Deminsion V400, C400 processor, 196Mb of ram, 40 Gig hard drive running WinXP. I am soooo glad WindowBlinds has been optomized to run on this old & slow system!
I'm only 40 thirteen
To the staff and managment at Stardock and WinCustomize, have a safe and happy holiday!
