Approximately a 20km long gauss rail cannon. With more guns attached to it, and even more guns inside it, and some missiles launchers. Oh, and I believe there's an engine somewhere in all that firepower.[/quote] Im su

Has anyone considered the fact that their actually running from a natural event? That some crap went on and collapsed the centre of the galaxy into a massive black hole which is eating up everything and is just continuing to grow and expand as it consumes more matter. Simply no one except that one ship has survived to tell the tale, and that one said shit was in pieces and basically fell apart as it got back and the crew had gone crazy.

I just trickle my fleet past any systems that have that kind of defence, so there is no real best time to use the red button, and if they do I get minimal casualties. And so is the life of someone trying to get past TEC loyalist defences.

I think what was established back in the old days of people like Einstein, in his theory of relativity, was that light travels at the same speed relative to anyone REGARDLESS of how fast they're traveling. I don't think the speed of light varies with its medium The possible contradiction of his theory is there but I'm not exactly sure how. Then there's his other theory talking about

"Space Simulator 3136AD" That would be a rather meh game, sitting there for months heading to another star system, unless you can discover the theoretical space between spaces and travel there faster then the speed of light. Speaking of the speed of light you can actually go faster then the speed of light so maybe you wouldn't have to sit there for a few months to get somewhere else, just to be shredded by debris from an asteroid belt.

Ive been loving sins and have been following everything new on rebellion, on youtube, official forums and unofficial forums and I haven't seen anything about new voice overs, which is why you should produce some source before we declare this a 3/10 troll thread

Starbases are supposed to supplement your defences and a planets lifespan, they wont get rid of entire fleets and if they go down in 30 seconds so what? if you don't have additional defences placed correctly along with the tech and a fleet to help then yes, on its own its going to go down and its going to go down hard and fast.

I think there should be tech that restores 3/4 of the flaks original stat, but needs a couple cruiser prerequisites and costs the same as the kodiak cruiser tech, would mean they still have a place but that you cant get them to a spamming stage before you can spend your resources on a much better fleet combination. Also I have never had problems vs mass bombers, in my fleets I always start with a carrier at the beginning of the game and its always my flagship, and in a flee

If you want a small scale squad based shooter go play dawn of war 2, in the history of any navy based military numbers have always counted. I have never personally had a problem with sins when people build nothing but frigs or corvettes. I always build a well structured fleet with logistics, command, cap support and anti corvette / strike fighter and I can take on hundreds of LRM's (or w.e the lil tec missile boats are called) no problem. If a fully upgraded starbase get

maybe devs could set something up to get community artists to make new picture sets, winner by popular vote get his put into the game or something? Would give community a choice in picture sets and would take the workload off of devs. Just a thought.

Yes the corvettes were easily destroyed but when he had 800-1000 of them at one time and they come at you in a horde they do some massive damage to our fleets, they also out ran everything but the fighters and bombers, which there weren't enough of to be effective, I suppose I never got that many flak weapons but I personally never found flak frigates that effective, but as I said, I never got that many, mainly just to stick with capitals to help keep bombers off them.

105 Replies 66,040 Views

I hope this has made corvettes less over powered, me and friends played a game together and one of them decided to do a mass corvette rush, he had 1000 corvettes like 20 minutes into the game and there were just too many to kill and they just shredded out stuff, hopefully this stops that./

I only ever play tec loyalists and I find attacking fine, if anything my well structured fleets can take out a tec rebel player if their titan isn't levelled up, I just use the advantage of my defences to use my full fleet to go and pillage other systems.

41 Replies 123,021 Views

To be honest they should be more expensive, I don't think their overpowered as such, as there are many ways to counter them, whether its offensive or defensive. I sometimes end up getting shot at by them and it is annoying but if your not a turtle you will go kill it, if you are a turtle then you will have aux governments on starbases. But it is frustrating to go hunting for a large cannon which can be behind 10 plants guarded by multiple fleets, So I think simply i
