Trinity and/or Rebellion? in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

Hello, i just saw the game on Steam advertisement on steam and googled a bit. It looks pretty nice and i want to buy it, the 'problem' is: Is it worth to buy SoaSE Trinity AND Rebellion? (i like to play all predecessors of my games) As far as i know there is no Story, just a Sandbox (thats fine), but that could be a reason to just buy Rebellion. If it contains all (more or less) what Trinity could offer. I hope someone can deciphe
