If you really dislike it you can turn the sound effects off. But that's all I can think of. Peoples opinions on SFX is gonna be subjective.

Last video game I completed though was Werewolf the Apocalypse Earthblood. I've also played some Dyson Sphere. Coming up I am hoping to spend some serious hours with Evil Genius 2. In the meantime I am spending more time running some TTRPGs.

We updated the support FAQ . You will likely need to disable fullscreen optimization and perhaps use hardware cursor.
Is this the Epic version or Steam version? Are you running the live build or the test/opt-in build? What are your computer specs?

You can find the full change log of the test build on this thread. To download the test build you will need to separately install it on the Epic Game Store.
