The best place to really learn about modding Sins is from other modders and thankfully there is more collaboration than ever before on the official discord server. I recommend looking at the resources channel for modding.

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer. As far as I understand it, anything you make is automatically your own copyright. In fact in regards to the content in our games, we technically license it from the creators (for example the music in GalCiv 3), though I believe those are indefinite licenses to use in game. In general, at most we might use something you've made and publisher on Steam workshop to help promote GalCiv 3's modding tools, but not sell it commercially ourselves at all.

The way GalCiv 3 works is that it uses your CPU cores more efficiently than most other games. Each core is pushed independently. This can lead to higher temperatures. I'd recommend trying to get your laptop cleaned properly, maybe re-pasting the heatsink too. Alternatively, you can try to limit the CPU clock speed by disabling turbo .
