My first computer was a freebie, a 1995 Macintosh Performa 630CD, 8MB ram, 250MB HD running System 7.5.5. I still have it and use it. It has a cool game called Meteor Storm, one of the few that would actually run on so little ram. Anyway,I ran across a windows preskinned prog called Kaleidoscope and another piece of software called Res-Edit. Using Res-Edit I would pixel by pixel change and rebuild all the KAL skins. It WAS time consuming to say the least and hard on the eyes. Then one day it

I finally got some rest after my Zone Alarm hassle which by the way thanks to you was able to rectify. I am using the free, registered, updated version (for non-commercial use), and by your words of encouragement several days ago decided to attempt tweaking it to run on this site. I was informed previously to try Black Ice Firewall which am told does work with (asp). The only way I discovered ZA was my problem as I was unable to post or upload here only, I had to shut it off, which left me expos

Hi all, Wow, this just gets better and better, I feel like I am making some friends here. Should the wall art be accepted, know that I placed it as "simple" and named it Jake's Light series 1 of 8. They are Pure mathematical expressions and so far I haven't seen anything like them. I have several other series waiting in the wings. I have also been dissecting many of the WB's I DL'd, I hope to be able to add to the pile, might take some time though. Well, gotta go do the

This morning I was able to upload my first work of art after much more tweaking of Zone Alarm Firewall - the freebie,(registered and upgraded). As you might know this has been a terrible thorn in my homemade computer I built out of parts and pieces (but alas, only Windows ME and P3 450mhz). Nevertheless, I am here and very happy.

An update to message #84. Saddam believes he sees like most blind tyrants wielding power they do not control and this is what makes them so dangerous. But I wonder about our President, he says he sees, but the proverbial sounding bell doesn't seem to ring true either and this is why the America public as a whole is having such a hard time deciding, why war with Iraq?

Moderator BoXXi, what say I send you an E-Mail with one of my zipped picture attachments that I was trying to upload, to see if it even leaves my Computer. You would'nt have to open it if you didn't want to. Then you could simply post a reply here if it arrived yes or no. thanks skinner Iben, but I am still running ME at 450mhz <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sad.gif" bor

Thanks again Shmoopy, but I believe my troubles lie in that Zone Alarm Firewall I am using. It seems that I can send plain E-Mails, but if I try to add a picture attachment, the E-Mail gets blocked for some reason.Perhaps the same principle is being applied in the uploading. If it is not ZA, then maybe it's my AVG anti-virus settings. So I think I have some checking to do first. Yes I read all the FAQ's I could find, and no, although you seem to be quite popular on the message board, I think

I tried to upload a series of wallpapers 1 at a time. I used the browse button to select the .jpg preview, and then used the browse button to select a .zip bmp which contained 2 sizes. When I hit the submit button there seemed to be a lot of commotion on my HD., but that was all. There was no change of any kind that I could tell beyond that.

Uhoh! I did,nt think they left the building. Well, I guess I got some more Zone Alarm tweaking to do. If anyone might have a suggestion that would help, please let me know. It seems I can submit these posts OK, but when I try to submit a wallpaper, nothing happens.

Now this is a surprise, I placed a post here a minute ago using Zone Alarm the freebie meticulously tweaked, and I actually saw it. Now it is gone. I will try it again and see what happens. Read your reply, must say I have never been there, but I too have lived in Texas, and indeed I've seen manya them thar roachees.

Hi Keila, after some shuteye today from my 15hr marathon of trying to figure out why I could'nt post here, and after I hauled in more firewood, I tried ZA again after making some adjustments,-lo and behold, it works. Zone Alarm the freebie does work on this site after all. It just needed some tweaking. I am still a little groggy, but I read your answer in "another test". Have to say I have never been there, but I too have lived in Texas and liked it.

I am trying adain with ZA, after making some adjustments, we'll see what happens. I am not too fond of AOL either due to the porno thing, but they did honor a 1000hr/45day free ride.
