However I can be online at my allotted times everyday (unless theirs a rainstorm).

ah. I tried to get on around 10:00 PM. could not get a game... trying again.... (and thanks for the info) And I'm a vet of online games so i know ALL about the "hostile" side of coin. What i was referring to was SINS has a much smaller fan base then say star craft 2. And since the jerks always outnumber the nice guys....

Ah thanks. If you had to suggest a starting race for online what would it be? Vasari are a "pro" race I understand. (or is it advent?) From what I have seen it's TEC = economics, armor, Advent = shields, diversity in support ships, culture and ability, Vasari = "dirty" tactics Dark fleet spam?, early scouting for those neutral mine thingy, and out mobilizing your opponent. I'm planing to start playing SINS online fairly soon but before I do that I need to know some things... 1) How active is the online community and on what days are they MOST active? 2) From what I have seen on the forums SOME of the online community seems... largely unfriendly to noobs.
