MadIce -Sorry, thats why I'm here to learn all I can, if I was smart in theses matters I wouldn't have to ask someone else. Everyone, thanks for all your imput and advice. I already have someone e-mailing me which I have sent screen shots of the problems, because I don't know what the problem is or whats causing it, but if someone knows how to uninstall theses programs completely, so I can do a clean reinstall, let me know. I might come back and e-mail the screen shots if this person doesn't

michael havard Let me be the first to say I agree with you, Stardock has had terrific support with e-mail and by phone but problems presist so thats why I'm here. I'm not trying to badmouth Stardock, I'm simply trying to get it working, I can't continue with this night and day its making me sick, as I think you said you noticed. I'm sorry but Stardock has caused my problem and I'm legitimate my parents are married. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/miam.gif" border=0 ALIGN=
Koasati , nice to see your still with us! sorry, I though it was name calling. By the way I just love Stardock when I had the trial version and once it starts working again I'm sure I'll be the first to bake a cake. However, I can't risk more problems than its already given me,and really if I have to access theses programs separately from another website, whats the point, by the time everyone has
Kosati, sorry but it's right on the front of SC component manager that you install as an interface to download new installs. (Chat and Discussion) Check again! If I'm not wrong on this the server downloads to this browser, just like it does your windows settings and it doesn't take you to their server or through your own browsers ISP firewall,it basically downloads e-mail, right, does this mean it bypas
SIG 101 Yes and with it you have temporary files that are downloaded using your firewall, that can be removed now or later and so how many browsers can you have functioning on your PC at one time? And if you have this browser with a server that has access thur this browser they also have access to your PC right or am I missing something here? I know that there was access to my PC while I was away from the system because SDC extracted files, all you have to do is read thats its extracting fil
I downloaded your trial version so it was not a security issue however, downloading someone's e-mail, chat or discussion messages I don't know, is another matter. To load skins or winstyles the message that comes up is to download from display properties. This message appears under each skin. In the Display Properties it lists each and every hyperlink to the individuals owners of the skins or winstyles, if it doesn't crash or freeze or takes 5 minutes to display with the abort message to
SIG 101 Exactly what I was asking about, so can you explain what security issues are involved. All I know is that I've never had a browser for chat and discussion groups downloaded on my harddrive before. Red flags came up. I feel I have issue's but I'm not sure what it is.
Wombat_1 if your still around Since your a developer and might have some extra harddrive (external) around or know another developer that will download this New Stardock Central and give me your official opinion. Tell me if I'm wrong or if this is just a fancy browser or I just don't have the program downloaded correctly. I feel it's possible a cut back on server time. Thanks
Believe me if I didn't like your Stardock I wouldn't have put up with it not working for six months, however its time people... to either get it working on your server end. OR....... Instructions that work, troubleshooting, and its not with my OS,..... please, and its not microsoft either, you already said there were security issues yourself on your server end. Maybe I should just kept with the trial version that worked with a total refund. Remember it worked. Just give simple plan instructi
Its hard to say exactly why your servers discided to register me as Marc Collins expired account in Feburary 02. It does no good to try and dispute it, as you kept putting me off, its not over yet, as I have your e-mails since Nov. to now troubleshooting and screen shots. However, dispite all theses problems I was willing to work with the program but not Stardock Central, sorry I'm not paying $49.95 and cursor $8.00 pus tax and shipping for a browser. I'm so happy I'm...... now an offic
What I was trying to ask with the ram is if this New Stardock Component Manager is a browser since it has discussions and chat, that means security issues. Isn't this acting like e-mail program located on the harddrive that you download from your server. Is it open? Also woun't the active hyperlinks be open? Maybe I don't understand exactly but it seems if I have a link out they would could a link in.
This might not be the best forum but I am speaking on the message board because I have been blocked from all groups and chat sites, except this one because it says I'm not a paid customer (access denied.) I'm not willing to use the New Component managers chat or discussion because of security issues with this browser. My skins were removed or extracted when I was absense from my PC which really got me troubleshooting. Polyphemus <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/wink.gif" bo
I will try to respond without stepping on anyones toes First let me say, after six months of total devotion to troubleshooting Stardocks programs for free,I kinds feel like gibberish. Excuse me but just how much is this program going to cost me? I've invested $60.plus tax and shipping so far, with the same issues as in Nov.02, and now I'm asked to go to a hyperlink in the display properti
I almost forgot the page doesn't load so you'll have to have Accellerator and click it before it disappears to get the download. > This trick will save you three days of troubleshooting. All this troubleshooting the last six months I plan to become a programer. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/hot.gif" b
Here is the hyperlink to make your logins appear and download to the New Stardock Central. Product Name : Stardock Central Component Manager Download : http://storage.stardock.com/files/stardockcentral100.exe Don't forget let me know how your downloadable WinStyles and Skins appear in Display Properties, as hyperlinks to other subscription sites or visiable installables downloadable from your own harddrive. Just cut and paste it and make sure its compatiable with your system.
I don't know what system you have but I have Windows 2000. After troubleshooting three days and nights they e-mailed me 100.exe download. Stardock Central now downloads the programs and logs you in, without getting the login failure, however nothing else works. IF you like, I can e-mail this hyperlink,if you still need it. I would like to know if after you get your installs loaded if your WinStyles in the display properties has only hyperlinks to other sites, instead of installed programs.<b
New Stardock Central, does it have in the display properities the WinStyles & Skins owners website that directs you to more pay for subscriptions. Really a time consumer!! Also does this new component manager make you login and receive an e-mail from Stardock before each and every action on loading a different winstyle or anythink else when the mood stricks? It also extracted and removed all the saves on backup CD in the drive and previous built skins!!!!from the old vesion, no
Why doesn't it come up in the search at this site or is it at another site?
Click on what link? It's not under themes Manager, its suppose to be a component manager.Where is this link? Search doesn't bring it up. Instructions were to uninstall Object Desktop and load StarDock Central.
I'm following troubleshooting instructions, however the new component manager is alluding me. "Stardock Central" http://storage.stardock.com/files/stardockcentralrc1.exe searches render "not found." Is it possibility its under another name? Appreciate any help. Thanks Polyphemus
Thanks yrag I will try installing the new StardockCentral. Is this compatiable with Windows 2002 Professional or only for XP? When installing downloads such as WinStyles, windowblinds, do theses install on your CD within the programs [as I could never get it to do that] or just on the files on the hard drive? All theses downloads I have on backup should unzip to the appropiate files within the programs?
sig101 The CM has Marc Collins with a serial number not mine expired date Jan.2003. I have to continually enter in my name and serial number and update the configuration and it updates however whenever I try to work with the progam, I discovered it changed back to this name and serial number with the expired date again. It took me a long time to figure out what the problem was why I couldn't access or download or work with the program. Its shows its expired in his or her name......
Where do I find this uninstall on stardocks site just to uninstall their progams and then I'll reinstall from the CD.I've never heard of that before!!!! I don't know about giving someone access to my hard drive, I'll have to check this out with a telephone call. Thanks,
yrag- it was pure panic when I saw my real name listed. I had already registered earlier as member user name as Polyphemus but it showed as my real name, not nice because I was upset. I right clicked on something that asked me if I would like to change my user name and typed it in. Actually I don't have a clue, purely by accident.
I would love to find out if this is a new computer by looking at the registry. HOW? Also stardock wanted the registration number before they would send a new CD. IT was sent with no futher comments.
