roads in river tiles don't seem to do much. i think it would be awesome if we could get bridges across rvers, automatically built whenever a road crosses a river (after discovering a certain tech?) that would allow the road to operate at normal efficiency for units walking along it, and not get slowed down by the water.

definitely agreed, this is annoying. we should have some option to at least defer the choice for the moment while we look around. perhaps even to delay it indefinitely if you simply don't want the town to evolve for some reason, or if you want to keep it adaptable until you see where your frontline ends up in a war.

definitely agreed, these screens are there for far too short a time. I've learned that you have to choose between image and text. i like to know what's going on, so i read the text asap, and usually don't have time to even glance at the awesome artwork after i'm done with that.

i don;t see why monsters are allowed to attack cities at all . i guess defending a city against a dragon can be an epic battle, but for the most part it just feels cruel and unfair. i'm rather fond of the Civ IV method, where barbarians would come in different types, the wild animal sort being unable to enter your borders, let alone attack your cities. Also in ffh, dragons were leashed to their lair, i'm not sure if that's the case here :/

i noticed that if you click on a caravan, it says something like: current road level: trail 19 trips to next road level and there's a little progress bar. what is this all about ? do caravans somehow upgrade your roads? given the rate that they get eaten by ogres, and the average length of a "trip", i'm not sure if i've ever even seen the second road level in a 300 turn game

i want outposts with built in defenders, like in kohan II. i don't like this strange idea of leaving empty fortresses all over the map like a big ghost world, it's creepy. And the way they change hands instantly, if so much as a pioneer walks on top of them, it just seems wrong. it would at least make holding territory easier, and not make outposts like whackamole.

i don't think it's possible to focus too much on balance. a balanced game IS fun^.^ i agree that it can be time consuming though, as a compromise i'd like to just see hotseat multiplayer, if possible.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to mention it. this was one of the first things i noticed in my first play of the game, but i guess it's one of those things you get used to and tune out. the rivers in fallen enchantress are really, really ugly. it has to be said. Among their faults: -The water is a different colour from the ocean it flows into -The water texture is different (far worse) than the 3d-looking ocean waves. rivers

i always thought a bonus for being idle was silly to begin with. But i'm guessing the idea is that if you want to use it, ou have to actually stop building things. not just build everything there is to do, then idle. if necessary, use gold to buy things that are needed instead of building them ?

an ai using curgen's volcano on you would not be fun at all :p that spell should at least have some multi-turn casting time before triggering, and some maximum range away from the caster, so the victim can have an opportunity to stop it by killing the caster.

it boggles me why you would build a conclave on a site without essence :p personally, i think it makes perfect sense. Dop you know of anything your local chemist sells that will mend a broken leg in one gulp? The apothecary potions are clearly magical. and logically, you'd need to gather magical ingredients from a magical garden and recite magical chants over the cooking pot while drawing energy from the land or somesuch, conclaves are for essence! essence free sites shoul
