I can't answer everything, but I'll answer the ones I can. 4. Line of Sight for units can be increased by upgrades. There is also a structure that you can build called a sensory tower (correct me if I'm wrong) which acts as a Lighthouse of sorts. Basically it reveals a limited radius of the map. Not too sure if environment blocks it. Also one of your starting abilities found in your Home Nexus can let you view any part of the map for a limited time (which is
Hi there, Since the game has gone to Beta, could one of the dev's update us about the progress of Key Bindings? It is just a very useful feature for a game to have, especially a game such as Ashes. Thanks, and keep up the awesome work.
I'm in. Look forward to being destroyed by the Dev's next Friday/Saturday!
Thank you for the clarification Warpstorm. Thank you for considering my recommendation and keep up the awesome work on such a promising game!
Way to be mature mate. Have some decency and respect.
Hi there, Is there an option in game to abandon a node? If so, could you tell a newcomer like me what it is. If there isn't, I believe that is a gameplay feature that the developers should look into when they get the chance. I bring about this point because I was playing with a friend who had been pushed back to his home node (he was a relatively new player) and I sent a fleet to aid him. We successfully kept him in the game, however, I involun
Molokoww, I gave you the benefit of the doubt, and it looks like I was totally wrong. Firstly your manner hasn't changed and you have the gall to insult the developers. The people who are giving their time and effort to make sure this game goes well, and you are practically spitting in their face. Not to mention your arrogance believing that you are more knowledgable in shaders than the developer who actually wrote the code for Microsoft. I don't know much about MS's hiring attitu
Stop it with the emoticons ASADDF, you're making me more jealous, missing out on those emotionally charged parties that seem to happen. :P Thank Ticktoc, fair enough. And definitely looking really forward to Beta.
Hey there, I bought this game on the Steam Early Access, and so far I'm looking really forward to its further development. However, I understand I came late to the party and have restricted access, to which I assume is the Founders Forum or something along that line. However is there anyway to get into the Founders Forum since I really want to know about the Beta Walkthrough etc.? However, I totally understand if there isn't any avenue, since the Founders have be
Really dude? I'm trying to defuse the situation and you reply with such vehemence Ticktoc. Come on man, be a bit more chilled.
Hey Molokoww, I believe that is one of the purposes of moderators on a forum: to determine the context of threads and posts and let the appropriate action be taken if necessary. Hopefully as just as possible. Whatever you do or s
I was typing in the Multiplayer Chat Log and when I got to the end of the type box, the cursor just freezes and you are unable to see any more characters that you type. However, you are able to type blindly and when sent, the whole message is shown. So it's just the type box needs some more development.
Thanks for that link Moomo, added most of them and see how I do in multiplayer. I primarily want to play multiplayer to see how my atrocious internet can handle it, and also to test it out for the developers.
Hi there, I'm just curious what time are people are playing this game, and are you just playing single player or multiplayer? I ask because I want to play multiplayer, however for very understandable reasons, I can't seem to find a match. This would be primarily due to the fact I live in Australia and the time difference to the majority of other countries is quite significant. So I want to see if there are any other Aussie players or other people who are willing

As you would've read from my previous posts in this thread, I'm already aware of my DX 11 Card. The bump was for the benefit of the developers since this thread was made during the new year holidays. However, there has been another post enlightening us of the situation, which I've linked below. Thank you molokoww for your necessary contribution. https://forums.ashesofthesingularity.com/47449
On the Benchmark screen underneath 'Configuration' there something called an API. That should tell you which DX you are running. The benchmark DX will only correlate with the DX option you chose upon start up of the game. Ergo - first option will Benchmark DX11 and second option will Benchmark DX12. Hope it helped.
That clarifies a lot, thanks for that. Hopefully it all goes well for Oxide and Stardock and politics doesn't impact too much on this issue. Nevertheless, stick to you guns and if you have an argument, stick to the evidence and let it decide. PS: I'm very idealistic.
Bump so the developers can see this. Issue is still persisting.
Roadmap of this game goes for another 6 years, that is very interesting indeed. If this game goes successfully, perhaps more developers might implement a similar strategy for their game development process. Even though that is very idealistic and dependent on a range of factors, one could only hope. This extensive long term plan has a very negative impact to Stardock though; that means Sins of a Solar Empire 2 isn't even in their crosshairs yet. ~Melodramatic Sigh~
Chotch, perhaps don't expect a reply till the 4th, it is holidays. So I doubt not much could be done about it until they open up again. So I'm playing on DX11 atm, I suggest you should as well until this issue is resolved.
Chotch, I'm experiencing it as well. Running Ashes on DX12 with Nvidia GTX970 361.43 Driver. Flickering shadows of all objects. Ran the map in hidden mode and the shadow edges of the map are also flickering. Taking screenshots is hard and I don't have the capability of taking video. Edit: Running on DX11 is fine, just a DX12 issue
Hi there, I'm Areeb. I'm currently studying a combined degree of International Studies (Asian Studies and International Relations) and Communications (Public Relations) in Australia. I have always gravitated to games which require an immense reliance on strategy and tactics regardless of the genre, from RTS to even FPS. My first ever RTS I played was Age of Mythology and afterwards I got into C&C and finally into my favourite game Sins of a Solar Empire. I
