I am not religious; I disagree with the statues removal, and I think Judge Moore was defending a cornerstone of the nation’s foundation. If the powers that be claim that the Ten Commandments is non inclusive, I don’t think adding a monument of the code of Hammurabi, or any other movement to include something would have inspired protest. The Ten Commandments were not the first laws, that would be the code of Hammurabi, but they certainly were the first laws of the Judeo Christian founders of this country. It was completely appropriate that these laws to be in front of an American courthouse.
