We have it on the list for next year. Zargon
Yes (I'm in Italy).
OK. I sent you a list of instructions for the next time an update is available so you can send us the log. Thank you. Zargon
I can't check if deleting it will solve the issue, because I made the full 2 Gb download, so now I'm updated.
Cammagno, Did you install digitally initially? Kirk
Puntarenas, Thank you for your input. We will not give up until we find the issue. Glad to hear you are not experiencing the problem anymore. Zargon
Puntarenas, OK. Please try that and let me know. Basically, Impulse will recalculate when you hit the Update button. So even though it says the update is 2.25GB, if you leave Impulse open long enough that value will update. Instead of waiting, just click the update button and you should see a new value when the download starts. That is the actual size of the update. Zargon
puntarenas, Thank you for the screen shots, however I think you are not seeing the issue right? Correct me if I am wrong, you are seeing the correct value for the update at 47,55 MB right? We are looking for someone who sees 1.9GB+ in the update size field. Are you saying when you click update that Impulse tries to pull the 1.9GB+? If you
As another note, once you post that screen shot here, as a test please delete the registry values (on the right hand side) under here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\ComponentManager\UpdateSizes See if that resolves the issue (causing Impulse to not pull the full file). If it does, please let us know so we can focus on your screen shot. Zargon
Hi, Can someone who is having this issue, please post a screen shot of regedit.exe open to this key? HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\ComponentManager\UpdateSizes
Hi, Do you have .NET installed? If not, please download it from here and install it then try Impulse again. Zargon
How about a screen shot of both monitors? Zargon
Hi, That is somewhat of a secret sauce request. For now, our sauce will have to remain in Grandma's head. :-) Zargon
Are your shortcuts that disappear pointing to network resources? Zargon
Hi, Fences should never delete icons from the desktop. However, it sounds like you may have found a case where icons with targets that disappear are removed if inside of a Fence. We will try to reproduce and fix this issue. Zargon
Hi, Unfortunately probably not. Windows doesn't give us enough data to sort by "created by" effectively. Maybe if the next version of Windows supplies more information about a file (like WinFS was supposed to do) we can add it back. Zargon
So the request is a feature that when enabled would never allow an icon to appear behind a Fence? On by default? Zargon
Were you able to find a work around for this issue? We have not seen it anywhere else or been able to reproduce it here. Zargon
Hi, This fundamentally has to do with issues Fences has resizing Fences on resolution changes. We are looking into "remembering" locations (Fence and icon) on a per resolution basis, but we don't have it implemented at this time. If it is not too much of an invasion of your privacy, can you please post a before and after screenshot here? Zargon
Thank you very much for letting us know we fixed the issue for you. You are welcome! Zargon
This has been fixed in the latest version of Fences. Please update your copy of Fences Pro or uninstall and reinstall the free version of Fences. Zargon
No, Fences is not Group Policy aware. Zargon
Others have reported this recently. We will try to reproduce on Windows XP. Zargon
Hi, Sounds like a bug, we will add it to our list to reproduce and fix. Zargon
Hi, This was resolved in the latest version of Fences. Please upgrade your Fences Pro or uninstall and reinstall the free version of Fences. Zargon
Hi, When it does not "kick-in" and you right click on the desktop, does the menu have "Enable Fences" listed? Zargon
Hi, This has been resolved in the latest version of Fences. Please update your Fences Pro or uninstall and reinstall the free version of Fences. Zargon
