Here is something that needs to be looked at: AI builds a new city. 1. Unrest is unbelievably high. (Should reassess whether building this new city is a good thing) 2. Tries to build a unit that needs 50 turns or so! (Should reassess and build unrest control buildings)
In my mod AI only units are very cheap and easy to build, they also reduce unre
http://www.warlords1.ru/files/patchwork.zip This mod improves AI and makes some aspects of the game more comfortable to play. Compatibility: v.1.4 and 1-4 DLS's. Compatible with Parrotmath's mods and others which doesn't change units and abilities. To install the mod, first backup your English folder, then copy the downloaded files into it. If you don't have DLS's, delete appropriate DLS files. Optionally there

Note that warrior (and assasin) have traits which require a certain weapon. AI may choose a trait which doesn't benefit his weapon. Bruiser, Spearman, Axeman, Swordsman (assasin's rain of arrows) are all useless to AI. Feel pity for AI, unite these bonuses in one, call it ProfessionalFighter. (Assign Rain of arrows to bows. This would be much more useful to AI. Lookfor my other suggestions at https://forums.elementalgame.com/450250/page/1/

So, let it be - have scarce resources. My phylosophy about cheats is simple: whether you cheat or no, you should have a hard time.
Well, I was playing a game on ridiculous with a tiny map and 3 other players and I was holding my own, but on the year 204, the game crashed and I was never able to play another turn regardless of how many times I reloaded. Pretty anti-climatic way to end things I have to say. I didn't get to compare mana for obvious reasons.
This is a vital crash. Its vital because S/L can't help. I also saw it rare
Make the commanders not have that stupid - unrest in city this unit is in penalty and change them to -2 -3 -4 unrest to all cities for the 3 traits. Should be easy to mod that and it's pretty sad when the game rewards you for keeping your heroes home.
Yes I also hate this. It harms AI, because AI may only occasionally use this trait. I'm going to change Administrator trait to give small g

The easier rules - the better for AI. But players demand more. Yes. FELH is a good game with average AI but it has great potential for modding. I've been busy modding for 2 months and while testing, I see how strong AI could be. BTW AOW:SM was also raw. AI could not use lots of featur

They also are mounted, capable to move quickly to a safe location and shoot at enemies. They also have fire/cold attack, so they smite even heavily armored enemies. Ram Horn makes it even easier. But now I test my mod with boosted AI

Thank you for feedback. I have almost finished my mod which improves AI as much as possible and will upload it in a week or so. I made all starting points provide good tiles. Hero classes are rebalanced to make them all equally useful. For example, Commander can boost Attack for all his army. Defender can earlier learn abilities that defend his army. And so on. Garrisons reduce unrest. AI is more agressive and better choses his targets for war. AI makes more armies and equips them bet
But war. Being in a state of war is of no value. War is just a tool that enables you to attack someone else. The AI seems to think otherwise. It just declares war and then sits back "Ah, HA! Showed you there. Now we're at war. Can't top that smart move, can you?"
There are two settinigs for AI which allow this situation. First: relations settings may go low and AI may declare war. Second: for each stage of the game AI has lo

I have installed the Undead's DLC but don't see any signs of Undead choice on the starting screen. I can't create undead sovereign, can't choose undead race. Where do they hide? It could be a silly question for a player, my game is full of mods, but nevertheless, please, explain! I have no time to play, mostly continue modding. I've started modding when the version was 1.3. Now I have to update to 1.4 and undead DLC.
