Well, I don't think it's so much a matter of needing a membership, as it is the fact that not many people post widescreens. If there was more of a demand, there would be more of them in the wallpaper gallery. Perhaps if you asked specific authors if there are or could be widescreens of their works, they might post them. -Drew

I made sure everything was the right format: jpg preview and zipped bitmap. I'm on broadband and I've uploaded things fine before, so that's not the problem. Finally, yesterday I updated a wall that I already had online, and it uploaded fine and said that it was under review in My Skins. I have no idea what's wrong

Ok, so I uploaded 5 walls on Monday. They gave me the successful-upload screen, telling to wait a few days for the moderation process. However, they didn't show up under "My Skins", like they used to. Granted, the system may have changed (I haven't uploaded anything for a number of months), but I thought anything awaiting moderation still appeared on My Skins, but said it was Pending Approval. Was I just the victim of some sort of transient glitch or server problem? -Drew

...I wouldn't freak out if I knew stuff was just being moderated out, but twice now I have had the same picture disappear after being in the "uploaded but waiting for moderation" state for a day or so. The first time it was just an update for an extant picture, and the second time I uploaded fresh b/c it wasn't there after the first. If any admins here just rejected it, that's cool, but I didn't get any e-mails so I suspect this wasn't the case. Anybody else have this problem? <img src="http

Heh, definately a motivation to iron out a picture after it gets rejected once. I agree with the criticism though, so at least I know what to fix. I have a couple sceneries in progress and an abstract that's just waiting for a chance to render, so with any luck some new stuff will be coming through soon. Yeah, I do the same thing with my works-in-progress -- I have a bunch of folders with various renders of every scene, so I know what's not done, and can go back and look at it when

Oh, thank you! I did another version w/o the rods, and it might be better, but I think I'll let that one run. Just got a couple of pics shot down by the moderators, so I'm retooling and starting a few new scenery compositions. I was amazed at how many ppl downloaded the Cubes one, but I tend to get lazy when I do abstracts, so I'll give that sort of thing a break [at least while I'm new enough at this to stay enthusiastic and have the patience for scenery...lol]. Anyway, have anything cool i

Well, Bryce is used a lot, plus some Terragen and Vue d'Esprit for scenery. I'm exclusively Vue, and I know there's a lot of stuff to read on that online -- just do a google search for it. The other programs are beyond me though, you're on your own. Good luck!

Well, I surf the net (mostly graphics stuff), play with Vue 4 in hopes of making a cool picture, sleep, go to class, homework (sometimes), and other miscellaneous college-ish stuff. Not all that exciting, lol.
