While we are reporting quirks, here a few more: 1 - The I-League and Kwilasians seem to be mixed up in the Foreign Relations screen. 2 - Sometime after I launch a ship form the project screen it can't move (as if it already moved that turn). 3 - One of the minor races (I am sorry, I can't remember which one), had a String Not Found where the greeting message should be when I contacted them from the Diplomacy screen.
It would also be cool if Espionage reports told players when another Race started a wonder.
I am sure this has been mentioned before, but when one of my ships that is on AutoPilot crosses the path of a ship belonging to a race with whom I am at war, it attacks the ship instead of avoiding it. This is only a minor annoyance, but it costs me at least two or three ships a game.
I usually play with all of the AIs on Bright. If I get a good start, it isn't a problem. But I find that if I am forced into an early fighting situation, I am always at a disadvantage. This is especially true with the Drengin. I realize that they are probably a War Party with initial bonuses applied to Weapons, so I kind of understand, but it can throw off the balance early in some situations.
Do the different AI setting merely affect the bonuses that the races receive at the start, or does it actually make them smarter. I have been trouncing everyone at the average and bright settings, but seem to be WAY behind in most of my more recent games. My strategies haven't changed that much, but I find that the AIs have a massive number of early ships and techs, and their ships are usually much more powerful than mine. I love the game, but it seems like the starting balance is still a lit
The game looks great, but has anyone else noticed that the starting position favors the corners and sides? It seems like almost 80% of my starting positions were up against the border of the map. On a gigantic map, that can make late game movements to the other side of the board take FOREVER. I'm not looking for anything to change, I was just wondering if this is a set thing, or if it just happened to work out that way for me.
