Well, I am back. Turned out Macs don't fit my workflows well. ;-) I was tired of giving permissions to do things for every app I wanted to use (and to do so again after updates), so I sold all the stuff and got myself a decent windows laptop and workstation again. As a plus, Macs have a nice resale price. ;-)

I am nearly finished with creating one purely with AI (Chat GPT). It has a learning (and patience) curve getting the prompts right, but I will let You know, how it works. (Yes, I am back to Windows and PCs). If this works out, I will try Rainmeter also.

I've been here an a subscriber since 2001 (user 51 of the freshly new Wincustomize) and used Stardock programs since Windowblinds 1.2. Seen many innovative things Stardock has done (one of the most profilic ones was the pityful abondoned DesktopX) and even more great skins by most talented skinners, most of whom just vanished unfortunately. I had my highs and lows with Stardock due to the direction some things and programs and support went, which are all past me of course. <

"Lack of plentiful and reliable energy is one of the top issues facing Germany. Renewables are unable to provide reliable energy needed to power heavy industry." Still nonsense and plain right-wing propaganda that is wide spread. Also NOBODY propagates here, that we can do only with renewables (at the moment).

"A great example of this is Germany which relied on cheap Russian natural gas. When the Ukraine war forced them to give up that source it devastated their economy and they're still trying to recover. " Nope, sorry. Still going relatively strong because we set up alternative sources very fast. The reason why for example the automobile companies struggle ist that they are still living in the vintage oil-age and have no decent electric cars.

Great release, guys. You can virtually have a modern tabbed dock now. :-) Working great for a beta. Cosmetical Monk here: The cursor change on mouse over on a tab should be different to that change/edit cursor.
Pretty much this is what start 11 does in many ways.
And still most people here only use it to switch back to windows 7 startmenu-style. And this will remain 'til the end of days unless WindowBlinds finally is able to skin other menu-styles and skinners using that.
Very nice blind. May I say it's really nice to have the color yellow (or a shade of it) be a big part of the theme. In my opinion there isn't enough yellow in themes.
Just here to say: Nice Skinny Puppy avatar. ;-)

You can't complain a software doesn't work with another that is HEAVILY changing and patching original system files. Heck, R11 ist not even able to restore the system to it's original state when uninstalling leaving the system in a mess. I had to restore from a backup I made beforehand.

This is the desktop of my main private laptop as of today. I have pretty much given up on Windowblinds as there are too many inconsistencies for me to bare And I don't want to be forced to use a Windows 7 style startmenu 'til the end of days to fit a skin. So I tweaked Start 11 to my liking (got rid of any dock-software as a side-effect) and keep my desktop clean. Rainmeter and some usability tools, that's it. Seen here Directory Opus and in explorer a small private project enhanci
Regex (Regular Expression) has a fairly complex syntax and not easily understandable by the average user. Try searching on the internet for Regex and you will find a wealth of articles and How-to tutorials on the subject.
Nevertheless it would be nice of Stardock to give at least a bit of documentation on such a feature. Users are often let alone with that resulting using only parts of the real rich functionality of th
