Thanks for the link! They are very pretty colors. I decided not to download the whole package because some of them are pretty similar to each other, but I did grab some at the gallery. Don't suppose you know of a good place to download some good painterly abstracts? I've looked and not much luck.

Wow, now that is a coincidence! I couldn't believe you linked to Mrs. Hughes. I knew her as a kid. She and my mom both collected antiques and they knew each other. She really was a normal housewife, and I remember my mom telling me she was starting a comedy career. It completely surprised me because she was tremendously funny but it was hard to picture someone you know suddenly turning into a professional comedienne out of nowhere. I am SO glad to know she's achieved success and did standup at t
The only feature in SDC that won't be in Impulse will be the skin browser. It's just too much to maintain and adds a lot of size requirements to the program.
Will SDC still work to browse skins? That's the main reason I use it.

As another poster mentioned, some of us do use the History tab and rely on it to tell whether an update applies to us or not. Right now some users are on XP and some using Vista, and those of us with XP wouldn't necessarily want to update to a potentially less stable prerelease with a Vista only fix, whereas Vista users probably would. During the time when there's such a mix of Vista and XP users, that History tab is more useful than ever. If you don't want another tab cluttering the interface,

I am very fond of some of the old trails I used to use, and while the new trails and effects are nice enough, they don't really suit my current desktop. Is there some way to import the legacy ones, like older cursors? When I installed FX, the trails imported as if they were cursors. They have no preview, and selecting them simply reverts the cursor to default. I otherwise like the upgrade, but I'm sad to lose content that it seems like there might be some way to convert, even manually.<br

Using Windows XP and Firefox 2, not the beta of 3. I also cannot download any skins from Stardock Central and tried the Wincustomize browser with the same result. Oddly enough, the Object Desktop programs did update just fine. Frustrated. This seems to happen often this last year, but Wincustomize browser usually works when Stardock Central does not. I realize you guys have a lot going on with recent and upcoming product releases, but I'm reluctant to blog about them with this going on.

Interestingly enough, Microsoft and Apple should have a look at successful spyware and adware. No, no, not so they can spy on us, which...agh, we won't get into that issue. But spyware and adware that are installed on many machines by user consent do so because *they offer something irresistible.* Something in general which the OS should probably come with, like easier ways to tweak currently hidden OS settings as one example.
