Nothing is really using much CPU. Usage quickly moves from one process to another. Eset briefly spikes to 6% usage during startup, but then drops down to less than 1% after 2 or 3 minutes. CPU usage in general bounces between 1% and 20%, with the 20% spike usally happening with 1 Microsoft Process or another ( with the exception being Intel PresentMon service bouncing between 0% and 5% usage). I was able to send an application log to BinaryFortress, and they said that they are able to replicate the issue with Displayfusion/Fences 6/Firefox. They just are not sure if it is fixable from their end. That was why I was asking if Stardock had some way for me to enable logging for Fences, if so I would be more than happy to reinstall Windows and just install Fences and Displayfusion, and log everything so that they can see what is happening.

I have run into an issue where, with both Fences and Start11 v2, if EITHER of them is installed, the Firefox browser will slow to a crawl, making the browser unusable, and sometimes even leading to it becoming completely unresponsive. I have tested this out on a completely fresh install of Windows, and the conflict lies solely between these three items. If I uninstall all Stardock products, the issue resolves. Sadly, yes. But the only thing I am using it for is the speaking clock feature, Everything else is turned off. If Stardock could add that feature to one of their currently existing products, or even make it a standalone program included with Object Desktop subscription, I'd be able to abandon Winstep altogether.

I have a feature request. A speaking clock that says the time on a schedule, 15,30, and 60-minute intervals. I am using a second UI skinning tool with Fences and Start 11v2, just for that one thing. It would be awesome if it could be incorporated as a gadget or addon to Start 11, or ObjectDock!

Is there any reason not to use OD version 4.01 ? I go to my account page , and it says it will download 4.03 , but what gets downloaded and installed is 4.01 . This is on a freshly installed OS. Nothing else has been installed. A pristine install. Not even Onedrive data left over , it was scrubbed manually beforehand to prevent any conflicts.

So , some items on the apps list display as expected when set to the Modern Style . That is I have everything set to NOT mark new apps. And nothing is marked as such on the Modern Style. But if I switch to 10 or 11 style , they both have the same apps marked as "New". I believe there is a text scaling issue in the client. I run a 3440x1440 monitor and a 2560x1440 monitor, with the ultrawide being my main. When I open any of the Stardock software under Windows 11 , I am seeing that the fonts aren't rendering properly , or scaling properly maybe ? Other applications look as expected and scale as expected , and the effect is subtle. but it makes me wonder if the HDR issue and this issue are possibly related ? Windows 11 build 22000.348<
