The idea is that now authors will include their own shadows built into the border images themselves, with per-pixel borders being used etc...

I think those are excellent suggestions, Loth, on a very well-written article.

Or perhaps just an indication of whether your post was the last one (most recent) or not. Your idea is likely better though...
New Desktop: Vista Ultimate Lappy: Dualboot... XP Pro and Vista RC2 Old Desktop: XP Pro Almost fully Vista... need to install Office 2k3 and see if that works, or if I need to buy the new one.
have tried 3 times today with old and new upload page It appears its been tried. Has that page been updated, Brad?
I'm fairly certain that Bootskin doesnt work on Vista. It barely works with XP... There is an option for a better-looking bootscreen built into Vista. Try adding the No-Gui-Boot flag in the boot.ini file. Apparently that unlocks a far better-looking bootscreen. Google!
I've used WindowFX before, and its a great app. For a more Expose-like experience, I'd suggest TopDesk. I've reviewed that program in the past, and its definitely a well-designed app.
I'd like for them to be visible both in their own section, and in the Master section.

Its in the works, I believe...
Pardon me, but I need to make it clear that the proper way to distribute Dreams on WinCustomize is through the gallery. I dont think its appropriate to just link to off-site sources, as you are circumventing the moderation process. If you are having problems with the uploading process, these need to be addressed. Please email [email protected] if you're having problems, so that these can be looked into. We would really a
I'd say I'm speechless... but clearly you have me beat.
Would they be skinnable? Makeup, derrrrrr
Zubaz, you got one for sale through Stardock? I'd buy...
System tray functionality does not work in Vista yet. That aspect of Stardocks programs is being re-engineered, and hasnt been completed yet. I too, am waiting on that functionality to complete my OD experience.
Conure58... I'm not sure if you're aware, but I *am* a moderator on the site.
Zoomba's like the fairy godmother... a wave of his wand, and all is good.
Yeh, just can't let it go. I realise I'm not even a customer (I haven't purchased anything from Stardock), but I want any and all info related to me deleted from WC. Should be easy for you to do, Frogboy. I'd do it myself, except I haven't found an option and I'm tired of searching. No need to answer/post anything. I won't be here to see it. I know you wont see it... but theres no point in deleting you from the system. Just dont come around, and you
You cannot technically use material that is not yours, unless you have permission from the original author. If you're talking about making a logon using a screen-capture from a movie, then you wont be able to do that unless you have permission. Make sense?
I think we've determined that those who have left, or are threatening to leave (because thats what this is, really), have shown that they're not necessarily interested in the 'democratic' approach to this problem. It's "all or nothing", I suppose... and as a result, I think we're going to lose artists. As with any conflict of interest, there are always offended parties, as unintentional as it may be. Its unfortunate that members of this family we call WinCustomize have taken s
3DS Max is an expensive program, but if you're looking to get used to 3D rendering apps, Maya (an AMAZING program used in movies and tv shows for 3D work) has a fully functional 30-day educational version that you might want to look into. At least, there used to be... its an amazing application. I believe Autodesk (owners of 3DS Max) purchased the company that owned Maya, so you might have some trouble finding it now. www.autodesk.com</a
As you said, they are welcome to contact Brad if they wish to further discuss this. Brad has said his piece, stated the requirements of positive contribution, and any further issues that those 'restricted' might have, can be handled in private, via email.
