Not too worry... the activation is (at least, this is my understanding) temporary. Stardock does not want 1000's of people running around with the wb5 beta when it is still in beta. I suspect that the 'activation' will not be around for much longer, but I may be incorrect in my statement.

It doesnt come with it, but since its also inside the objectDesktop suite of programs, the Windowblinds folder that you have is inside an objectDesktop folder. Link!

Wow. Long thread, much said. I think that Frogboy has exactly the right idea. Skinners need to be able to say "I dont want any comments" and then not have to worry about it. They should also be able to specify: "I dont want any comments from non-skinners". That kind of thing... I think that would reallly help out alot. I think one solution may be to have a p

Look at what you get, and make a decision on its worth. If its not worth 15 bucks, dont upgrade. Keep in mind though, if you upgrade now, you'll get every thing up until (but not including), WindowBlinds 6.0. Can you imagine whats going to be happening with the program by then?

Brad, you say nothing about the actual problem being fixed. Is that on the list of things to do? The idea of an external script file is sound, but what would you use to edit it then? I enjoy editing within DX, but I'm not a fan of losing all my work on DX's whim. Is the external script idea a solution to the problem, or a workaround?

Not really any 'tutorials', but you should look at the SkinningTheDock.txt that is in your ObjectDock folder now that its installed. It has a bunch of really good information in it about skinning objectdock. Also, you would be advised to download and take apart skins that do what you'd like to accomplish and look at how it was done.
