Each Galciv2 serial is registered to a serial and an email address. You need to enter this information in SDC to get updates and without a valid email address this is not going to work.

Great list again 1 question, does this include the intensive CPU Algorithms aswell?
You probably need to increase the intelligence higher for all the AI to get the increase as there are more steps on the difficulty level then there is AI levels.
Hi, I use a proxy and while SDC is working fine (has settings for proxy) Galciv2 does not seem to allow this. Is there a workaround to get this accomplished? I currently create a game on one PC that has direct connection, play it on the other and when its finished send it back again so i can upload the scores.
Ref crash after displaying hint screen. Revert back to v1.11 and download v 1.2 beta 2 again using different server (possible same server will work aswell). Had the same issue and this resolved it for me.

Disable your virus scanner if you have it enabled or exclude the galciv directory from beeing scanned, my performance went up a lot when i did this.
During mid game my performance always tumbles and turns taking up to 1 or 2 minutes is common. I also noticed taking ships from fleets or adding them take 7 or 8 seconds on my AMD X2 at 2600 Mhz while my notebook with Pentium at 2Ghz did it in less then a second. Finally discovered that the virus scanner i use slows down the game a lot when lots of ships are moving about and since i excluded the Galciv2 directory from the realtime proctection turns take betw

Ah... here is the message which more directly describes the problem I'm having with the mini map. Yes, I am using the scroll wheel to zoom in. Having zones disappear as I zoom in [closer], but they seem to restore okay when zooming out [larger view] Clicking the scroll wheel once (quick tab on the button) should also restore the minimap
It's the amount of components and jewelry on them. If you make really plain ships with only a few pieces of jewelry, that will make the section and key names in the ships shorter. It will also mean less parsing. Cari, i find the fleet processing really sluggish, removing a ship from a fleet takes up to 7 or 8 seconds. This is on a
Really, the colony manager screen needs to show both planet focus and whether they're defended or not. Indeed, when i start i change focus on some planets and take me ages to look through all of them to check if i changed it back after it is no longer needed
After use of mouse wheel click (still with mouse wheel) in the mini map, this makes the influence etc visible again. Also you can use the mouse wheel (button 3) to move around on the mini map, click and drag the mouse to do this
Oh also is there a way to tell how much extra hull space there may be on ships I have already designed? If I click on upgrade, it strips the ship of all items that take space. I want to know if there is enough space left over on already made designs to make it worth trying to create an upgraded model
What is the average time it takes four your games to complete a Turn (wait for the AI to complete)? I am playing a game on huge Galaxy with 6 opponents everything abundant and mid game takes +/- 60 seconds on an AMD X2 running on 2600 Mhz. Also played the same game on a laptop witn an Intel M 2Ghz and this is taking roughly the same amount of time. What i notice is that the dual processor is not really adding to the processin
Install SmartException, its in SDC as well (under free stuff) so should only take you a couple of mouse clicks to get it going. This would help more than the debug.err
What the... I just realized that SDS only updated me to v1.1 BETA 4, not 4A. SDS says my current version, 1.10[b4].017, is the latest. Was 4A taken down, or why isn't it showing up on SDS? Download the 1.0X exe and install this, then go back to SDC to install BETA 4A again, this solved it for m
yea it has to do with how there relationship with each other are. if two people are friendly with each other they wont attack, and it wont even show up. Can't be right as they are also warm towards the drengin and they are in the list. If its because the Torian are too powerfull the option should be there but it should never get
They are not a war, neigbours and no Aliance between them so what else could it be?
I have the following situation : Altarian Republic is Warm towards Drengin and Torian and me (Humans), and Friendly towards the Arcean. I want them to attack to Torian but they do not show up in the list, Drengin and Arcean are available Could it be that the Torians are just way too powerfull so the Altarian are not even considering the option to attack them?
Had the same with the latest beta (b4). Issued smart exception report for this error and send to stardock about an hour ago.
Generally, production drop to 0 when your treasury is below than -500BC. It may be the case after an invasion if you use an invasion tactic that requires BC. Is it the case? Exactly, check your treasury as it looks like it is below -500BC and everything stops until your treasury is above -500BC and everything goes back to normal again. <
