I bought Vista Ultimate on release day, because for many reasons, I knew time would be limited at one point or another on XP. I also wanted 64bit ability and wasn't wanting to purchase XP64 for it. I consider myself a very knowledgeable computer user, with high level of experience building systems for the past 10 years. So what I have to say next, will probably not go over well with some of the elite types here, but they'll either flame me, or get over themselves one way or the other. <br

Glad to see XP is still going to be supported, but I've also upgraded ( And struggling with it might I add ) to Vista. Lots of hardware ( Sound and Video ) issues to deal with. Largely due to my system, it's almost 7 years old. I'm upgrading it soon as my return comes. But all of that aside, I do have a question. I noticed you have Logon Vista already, so it's nice to see you're seperating the Vista art from the XP. Will you be doing this for all of the products? If so I'd definite
I have been a customer of Wincustomize.com I own an older version of the suite that I had for 2 years running. Just lost membership I think last year. So yeah, I know all about the membership options. Just sad that I can't download much anymore.
I've been coming back for the past few days, trying to find a nice wallpaper for my computer. It says I'm a Citizen and from the information on the site says I should be able to download. But everytime I try now, all I get is your ad telling me to subscribe for unlimited downloads. I've been a long time guest to your site, was a member for 2 years. I now see the membership is only 1 year and you've instated some kind of limit on downloads for those not subscribed. This isn't saying I wont r
I'm a musician, singer/songwriter. I also buy CD's of several artist. It's been a long time understanding that if you bought a Record, Tape or CD, you could record it to another media for your own personal use without breaking any Copyrights. This being said, let me state the other side of the coin. As a singer/songwriter, I would not want my work just downloaded, given away freely to the masses. As this is my chosen profession to make a
Very nice article, but you didn't mention a few things that are up and coming. Which I feel probably will affect MS a lot more in future releases. The main one is the MacOS going to Intel Processors. This means that the OS will work on PC's and people will finally have a 'Choice' between MS and MacOS. Granted a lot of frowning about this move has been going on, but look at it this way. With them going into the PC market, they'll gain more ground a
I've been in retail since 1989, since then I've grown to love some of my jobs, as well the people that worked with me. I held high respect for one manager in particular, as he was a great role model and a fabulous leader. He was honest, supportive and expected nothing out of you that he himself wouldn't do first. Of all of these managers, from many different companies, that one mentioned was the ONLY one to ever hold my respect. None the less, he w
All I can say is for a doctor, he sure doesn't have much compassion. Nore does he have much insight as to how different the margin of numbers in the software business vs his practice is. For starters, even if you didn't have your game Political Machine on the shelves of so many places ( And yes, I seen it in Wal-Mart's down here in Texas, as well as CompUSA and a few others ), you do still have World Wide Customers from just your Internet Business as
Yeah, link is not working Angelfire has done away with it somehow. Either by disabling it or removing the file. Because it states no direct-linking allowed. So /shrug Not sure what to say except don't use Angelfire for hosting downloads of any kind.
I don't care if it's Unix, Linux, or what. My main point of saying this was that it's -Not- the -Original- OS anymore, it's not the MacOS that has been shoved in many of PC users face as being -The- OS! They've done the same beg, barrowing and stealing that MS has done for a long time. Except MS doesn't go around denying it, they brag about it. Apple just points fingers. I'd still take Linux over the MacOS anyday. It's far more customizable, more effecient, and best yet? Doesn't ha
You know, this is the oldest battle of wits in all of computing. Apple took their OS design from Xerox, MS from Apple and NT from IBM. Point is, every one of these compainies have gone on borrowing or creating and improving on what someone else has done. Secondly, Corporate world is not a friendly place. You want to take over a company? You buy them out for as little as possible to turn over your profif margin at a higher level. Basically all Corporate take overs are one company ripp
Cool! Thanks! Found it. Now to figure out how to skin for it so it looks cool!
I've done a search on here, as well read a few posts elsewhere that talked about it. But I've yet to find object media for download even on Stardock's site. Is it available yet or just beta?
Sorry Frogboy for having to put up with stuff like that. It's rather childish of anyone to become so mean over not winning or even not liking the judges decisions then hoist blame directly on folks who didn't have a thing to do with those decisions. This is the kind of strife I see day to day in the computer gaming world. Seems everyone has this larger than life ego and if it even gets slightly bruised? Man it's like you brought down the seven wraths of satan to swoop down and tortur
Hehehe, ayup! 1+1+2+3=7! :)
Just from the tinkering I'm doing this year, learning how to skin as well how it all works together. I can see there is a lot of hours of work that goes into complete skins. No matter if it's just Winamp or Windows itself. I'm sure of the skinners are going to be posting their work here this week. I can't wait to see what they've come up with. I wish you all luck, I'm impressed with what's up here already and look forward to learning from what I see from skinners everywhere! Next year I
