I Bought Object Desk Top. I'm loving it. [e digicons]:inlove:[/e] I initially didn't need Femces on my main PC, and istalled it on my secondary one were I had a much better neeed for it. I installed it on my secondary PC and it REALLY helps organize my desktop with over 50 icons. [e digicons]:)[/e] Well it turns out I tried Fences on my main PC and now realize It's better then the folders on my desktop. [e digicons]:om
I'm loving Fences more than I thought I would, but two things so far are standing out. 1. It would be nice if I could adjust the icon spacing within a fence (global or per fence) 2. It would be nice if I could change icon size in each fence independently of other fences or the main desktop. I know #2 is asking a lot, but #1 should be doable. [e classic]:d[/e]

Good thing I have another windows 7 computer and an Vista laptop that can use some of the stuff my main Windows 8 can't use! What a pleaseant surprise. I hope teh quaility of the software is as good as Start8 and MediaMix.
My issue sort of fixed itself. I simply rebooted, and all is well. [e digicons]:|[/e] Unfortunatly many of the dream files I like are not in the right format for Windows 8.....something about not having the proper codec for DVD playback.

I'm buying Object Desktop tonight (Decided it's worth the plunge after posting and doing some reading on the forum) My question is this: Object Desktop comes with FENCES. Can I install fences on one computer and not the one I'm downloading the software on? I have a very high need on one of my PC's for it, but not my main PC that I want all the other stuff on. This thread cleared up some stuff for me too. Thanks. I highly urge Stardock to create a chart of all the apps that include what OS they work with and what included with what package (subscription) I had to do a lot off looking up stuff to get to what I understand now. Hmmm....sounds good. I'm all for Object Desk top, but see out of th enice list of features, some I can't use like window blinds. I got a credit for having ModernMix already, but I also bought Start8, do I not get a credit for that too? Or does this mean I will have two licences for it and can install Start8 on my next Windows 8 PC?
Start8 and ModernMix both did this to me after install as well. It takes quite a long time to reboot and it looks like it's installing a windows update. It hangs at 17% for what seems to be 10 minutes then reboots. The reboot also takes longer, but not as much. Subsequrnt reboots or restarts are normal. I downloaded the software from the link sent to me and saved it to the hard drive before installing. So unless I had two coincidental windows updates
I'll second that. I would prefer to have it just let me pin what I want to to the list than what it does now.
