I love when I max concentration aura and start using the Rapture's ultimate to just steal carriers. Couple that with the Coronata's Subjugation ability and I'm running my fleet so far negative it's ridiculous (not to mention my mixed fleet of TEC, Vasari and Advent ships). I will say that I like the Antorak for the Vasari too. I love being able to send it off on it's own then call in my whole fleet that's sitting on a border world as a defensive asset. Or, even

I'm pretty sure the random planets would cause such an error in which case I'd be amazed if you didn't make that mistake.
TEC: Dunov: Shield Restore is awesome and can rescue important ships on a regular base. Its other abilities pale but are still usefull. Advent: Progenitor: Worst colony ship, no firepower, no durability and weak colony bonuses. Shield Regeneration is very helpful against TEC but worthless against Vasari. Malice has a targert cap of 24.... minor annoyance. [
Quoting KSSSWM, reply 4The so-called "useless" Rapture is an excellent Advent cap ship, I do not really find it useful, not even against AI, I know in theory it has nice abilities, but they do not make me choose that ship over Halcyon, Progenitor or Radiance. Obviously I haven't played too much Advent online, I am a TR player, but sometimes I play AR, or AL, more often I choose them against AI, so I pla
You're missing the Rankulas and I assume you've missed the Discord (or simply misnumbered the Advent capital ships as "All but Revelation" would result in the Revelation being ranked (6)).
I believe you're allowed fleet research but nothing else. Can't recall how it worked when I did it but I doubt I'd survive without more than 100 fleet.
I don't like the idea of ridiculously priced research just for the sake of spending money. If you need to spend for the sake of lowering what you have then just constantly buy and sell crystal and metal. You'll eventually run out of resources. I personally see nothing wrong with having surplus funds. It means that if something goes wrong I can rebuild quickly. Must be the times, these days people expect governments to spend ludicrous amounts of money on nearly irrelevant proje
Boarding party deals damage, if that damage would destroy the ship you gain control of the ship instead. I can't recall how much damage Boarding Party does but you have to make sure it's timed so that the enemy ship has a low enough health but not so low that you destroy it before the Ability grabs a hold of the enemy ship. Experiment in the dev exe and just keep spawning frigates for your Corsev to practice on if you're having trouble.
Ctrl and a number key (ie Ctrl 1, Ctrl 2) will cause your selected unit(s) or object(s) (including planets) to be tied to the corresponding number key. For example, if I select my Rapture Battlecruiser and hit Ctrl 1, then whenever I press the '1' key I will have control of my Rapture. Subsequently, if I select half of my Disciples and hit Ctrl 2, now I can command half of my Disciples by simply pressing '2'. And so on, and so forth with other units and keys. A
If I did everything right my side pic should be a Skarovas on a MLG background Note: it's severely distorted but you get a mediocre idea at least

EDIT: the God of the Mod (Harpo) showed up before me (I knew I should've posted before I ate breakfast). See his post as it is better than anything I will ever tell you.
It's something that will come with time but you should definitely start with the small random 1v1 map. Lots of room between you and the AI. Honestly, you can beat the Hard AI without any research, you just need to build a zillion Light Frigates so you are probably wasting a bit on Research. Having said that, I would obviously recommend Research (specifically Light Carriers - if you only get one research this is the one. In all my games against the Hard AI the only ones tha
The Antorak only has the one combat ability so it doesn't burn through antimatter all that quickly, especially at higher levels with the extra antimatter it gets from its levels. As for movement after the effect, if you issued a new order after your ship got phased out then it should follow that order when it phases back in (I think it works if you give the order while still phased out but I'm not 100 % sure so don't hold me to it as you may need to wait until your ship ph
The Antorak Marauder could have been using phase out hull on your ship when it was retreating which would cause it to forget it's last order and begin auto attacking.
You can adjust attack behaviour in the fleet section so that ships only attack targets within weapons range, no chasing, even if an enemy is just ever so slightly beyond weapons range. As for the rest maybe you could make multiple smaller fleets and have them follow the Titan but I honestly don't know.
Yea I intended to go online when I got this game but based on what I've seen on these forums my only two online games were ones I decided to play against the AI after getting kicked in the lobby (one of them my connection buggered up and so I'm 1 win and 1 quit/drop or whatever). At least the AI is challenging enough in numbers to entertain me.
Oh the Vasari tried to add research labs to the Vorastra. Their engineers had it all worked out, and the prototype even had them features. However, the instant it was completed an army of space ponies flew by and destroyed it, saying that if the Vorastra was any more awesome it would be a rival to them. The Vasari thus quietly dropped the research labs from the final design.
I assumed it was due
A few things. In order to increase the effectiveness of defenses perhaps they should be allowed to be built further out of the gravity well (ie right on top of where the enemy will phase jump in). This would force players to fight through at least some of the defenses. Making the phase lane angle smaller might also help with defenses as you would have to jump closer to the phase lane line, thus limiting a fleet's ability to jump in on one side of the gravity well. I think
So I was playing Vasari Loyalists today and I noticed that the research to give labs on Capital Ships doesn't add labs to the Titan and was wondering why. If the Capital Ships can have a warfare and empire lab each it makes me think that the Titan should too. I really don't see why the Vorastra wouldn't get the lab bonus. Thoughts?
I don't think that can be done since the militia isn't an active player per se. They just sit in their gravity well and wait until someone comes for them to attack as far as I can tell, similar to you putting ships in a gravity well with a gravity well wide auto attack radius and then not doing anything, ever.
Couldn't you use galaxy forge to spawn players at certain planets, with other planets under their control? Or, you could even just spawn players with fleets and a dead asteroid as their home, thus creating a mission where your fleet must destroy the enemy without any reinforcements to complete the mission.

Random planets are probably the culprit. It may want to randomly generate DLC planets. It doesn't look like you have any ferrous, greenhouse, oceanic and/or barren planets (I don't know their GalaxyForge icons) Or, you could spend the absurd amount of $5.00. I mean, you did probably save more than that on your purchase since it was on sale but the choice is yours.
The Vasari are supposed to be a more advanced race so the fact that they are stronger makes sense to me. The fact that they can be beaten indicates that they aren't OP. It all depends on your strategy but if you're trying to hit a Vasari players undefended worlds with a small fleet you're going to look like a fool when he phase stabilizes in on you. I think if you want to take on Vasari you have to outnumber him (which should be doable considering Vasari units are typicall
