You can right click on the Folder portal tittlebar and choose another folder. That should do what you need.
Quoting navay, reply 6Wait dont answer that, OK, we won't.... The CORRECT process for staying on top of Stardock's on-going development process with their programs whilst they 'keep up' with Microsoft's exact same on-going development of their OS - is to install and use Stardock Central. It ISN'T an extra software, it's a saparated installer/updater which works for each and
And why isnt that history changelog available for the product download page or customer account download area? In fact its not available anywhere, Whats the excuse for that? Instead of bundling the readme you bundle, and instead bundle useful info? Wait dont answer that, I just like the efforts concentrated on development and customer service which after 15 years is about time Stardock delivered on that, Instead of trying to get another pay day. (which is how it feels
20 years of making things harder to simplify, Stardock, you can count on us.
Why cant a user reset these types of things by themselves via account/product download page without having to depend on anyone?
The last two answers to this thread (before mine) were from June 12 and 14 (less than a week ago), go figure. All my reports and replies are in the Fences Forum https://forums.stardock.com/forum/501 which is where all my replies have been also, or made to support email. At least I tried to keep my answers constructive which is more than I can say about most other reports/posts/replies here and these Forums at large. Never kne
@ Island Dog To my knowledge no one has bumped anything, in case that comment was directed at myself, note I was replying to these threads not bumping them. Also so far all the issues I have encountered have been submitted.
Given that this was reported on Fences 2.01 and this was a long while ago and it works with Fences 2.10.0.485 which is at this time the "latest" providing more information may be in order.
No, which is a better reply as your going to get, from the looks of things. The guessing... Try updating your graphics card drivers, and while Fences doesnt state a minimum graphic card requirements (none I can see) or gpu memory or GL version etc it is also likely your system is not quite compatible. When you say "after using fences for a while" it indicates that some performance degradation on your system is going on, or your using too many applications at same time

Now you just posted this https://www.stardock.com/products/fences/history.asp on another post and I am using Fences 2.10.0.485 Which is the very latest you can download from your account. It states on that changelog that this bug has been fixed, clearly not [e digicons]o_O[/e] So that changelog is wro
Nope that changelog is nonsense, it states Fixed: “Sort by” appears twice for folder fences with labels hidden When I am using the latest stable 2.10 and just finished reporting the EXACT bug here , which clearly has not been fixed.
There is nothing impossibly complicated about this process, its like hurdle jumping. Pure nonsense, how about Stardock making things simpler for a change?
Can Stardock please make Beta downloads available on the customer page separately form the stable version? Also would be nice to include changelogs with fixed bugs and known issues that havent been fixed, I for one, Dont want to be forced to install Stardock central and risk more problems (other bugs because of it) just to benefit something I am entitled to get as a paying customer and legitimate licence holder.
Its hardly solved and doing the above hardly fixes it, this is reproducible but not always. I had Fences do this to me twice now. What I have noticed is that the problems exist (as above) mostly with folder portals, normal fence does not trigger this that I can see.
OK this is not reproducible 100% of the time, but come on Stardock it is reproducible with folder portals and other fences on desktop, how about (official) feedback to paying customers eh? You must have at least a FENCE and A FO:DER Portal to be able to duplicate this, I think its related also to folder portals since there are various bugs when using folder portals in Fences 2.10
I may be wrong but I don't think anyone is going to download and install a special video player just to see the problem you have. To watch the screencap, close the window with the play arrow on it by clicking the Close to play button on the bottom of it. Do not click on the PLAY VIDEO arrow in the middle of it.
Yes quite right no special players required but in such case here is the download fr
@ Zubaz Given the narrow window of this bug and given Ive narrowed it down, can you confirm Fences+Aero dont play well with these types of dialogs? Now YOu have had a chance to examine the video of the issue, dont hesitate to ask for anything else (information wise) that may help you expedite a fix fro fences 2.10 sine It is a very insidious bug.
I dont think a screenshot is going to illustrate this. Excuse the screen refresh but I guess the videorecorder used had this side effect. Here a video of me trying to rename a file to same name of a existing file to get that dialog which should pop up in front of all explorer windows, when I move the windows out of the way and click on dialog you can see it automatically get behind the explorer window and only by minimizing or moving the windows out of the way your able
Description Certain Windows notification dialogs like rename, copy to..., move to... or overwrite file dialogs are supposed to be ontop of all currently open explorer windows. this does not happen anymore when Fences and AERO is running. When performing such operations the notification dialog opens and is behind all explorer windows and you cannot make the dialog gain focus or be ontop of all existing explorer windows.
