I am newish too and am currently using the Star Trek mod, in that you need Colonize III research completed to colonize a Desert planet. If you hover over a planet it should show you in Red text what you are missing, if nothing shows I am not sure why you cannot.
Hi all, I just returned to the game again and I am confused as to using groups versus fleets. Aside from spacing, is there any disadvantage to using groups instead of a Fleet. When should I use a group(they seem much easier to assign and manage) as opposed to fleets which are a bit awkward to manage. Does the AI perform better in fleets? Do capital ship abilities which affect the fleet work in groups as well? Any

I was just playing and the Iridium kept begging for peace from me. I kept denying because, well, its just easier to take over their homeworld and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Just got something in my mail from Stardock.info which said I will receive 20% off my next purchase from Stardock but when I clicked to follow the link BitDefender said it was a malicious site or something so just warning to those of you here do not follow it until it is confirmed legit. Stardock might have had their customer email addresses stolen or something.
