Galactic Civilization 1 in Stardock Software Stardock Forums

Help. i just bought Galactic civilization 1 on steam. i have been greatly enjoying the game. however, whenever there is an animation of one ship firing on another ship the game freezes. I can avoid it by ending the turn while in the domestic policy screen but i miss ship movements and such doing that. Is there any game or computer setting to get rid of this issue? Help. I just got galactic civil actions 1 game and enjoying it. But when the animation of one ship firing on another comes up it freezes. I can avoid it if I end turn on the domestic policy screen.
