Yes, at my current job. My first review was by the CEO, he basically said that I had exceeded his expectations and then he gave me a commission check that exceeded MY expectations. It seems to have worked out alright as I am approaching my seventh anniversary with the company. I don't know why more companies can't get this kind of thing right. The costs of hiring and training replacement employees far exceeds what it would cost to reta

Quoting from the article: 'Arabs, rise as one man and fight for your sacred rights. Kill the Jews wherever you find them. This pleases God, history, and religion. This saves your honour. God is with you.' Not much has changed, has it?

The best quarterback on the field today was....Billy Volek. Improbable as that might seem. Minus Ladanian Tomlinson and Philip Rivers, the Chargers were still able to beat Mannings Colts. You have to hand it to back up Billy V. who kept his composure and led his team down the filed.

I miss him too..... "He gave JU a certain intellectual sophistication and wit." Indeed, I couldn't agree more. "Anyone know him in real life? How is his health? How's his family?" I will ask and, if answered, post an update. Thank you for writing this.

Sir, with all due respect, you have established and belabored the point that you don't like the fact that the piece was written and published. You have stated your opinions as if they had the force of law. They don't. They are what YOU think, as the article was what I think. You have commented: "Besides Kuperman's blog entry being completely self serving..." Got it, you didn't like the article. "Oh, and why were the pictures necessary?" Got it, you d

I want to thank everyone for commenting, discussion is good. I do even understand (disagree with, but understand) Dr JO622's concern that certain topics can, in the short run, raise the level of anger. In the long run I think discussion is beneficial. But folks, this was written with humor, at least tongue in cheek. The title and subtitle should be a give away "Jews On The Internet, ZOMG!! Y1d5 Ru|3!!!!" We seem to have lost that perspective.

If I am reading Dr JO622's WinCustomize profile correctly, he is Male and 24 years old residing in the USA, which makes his serving from 1969 to 1970 in the IDF highly unlikely. Link Whoever JO622 may actually be, he stated "I am Jewish and find this whole thing very upsetting." Removing things, not because they are untrue (interesting to note, no one has disputed the veracity of my statements

foreverserenity said " I feel, as a Christian, that Christmas is getting a very bad rap from everyone! All the people who are not Christians get offended at the word Christmas" Had you not used the words "everyone" and then "all the people" I would not take as much exception to your comments, but you did. You have no clue as to what offends non-Christians. Its not the Greetings, its the BEATINGS we don't need. I write an article abou

Every year there seem to be more and more articles by people who complain that Christmas isn't getting its fair share. There aren't enough Christmas specials on TV (something less than 24/7), the (obvious) Christmas Tree in the office is called something else, people say "Happy Holidays" as if Jews, Muslims and Hindus might think you actually know what our holidays ar

Blogger. It gives me an outlet for my thoughts and has given me a great deal of pleasure over the years. Respectfully disagree with the "proven author" theory. Whims of the publisher might be a better description. Let me, in one paragraph, tell you why blogging is worthwhile. Pictures of the war in Lebanon were discovered to have been doctored with Photoshop on a blog site. No one, not Reuters, not the London or New York Times, not the Wall Street Journal would have ca

And thank you, Dr. Guy, for posting the Niemoeller poem. It was what I had in mind. Again, I want to thank my son Jon for making me aware of this and for letting me know that there are bands all across the country that are playing in memoriam. They are making this day into one of hope.

Thank you, Gideon, for your comment. Here's a great link for a beautifully written article in the Houston Press: Link An interesting follow up note- Brian's parents have, as I understand it, endowed a skate park for public use, because Brian loved skating. There are some great videos on YouTube and you can here Brian's music (not my cup of tea

Thanks to my son, Jon, for making me aware of this. According to the witness, the driver of the Cadillac said "I'm a ninja in my Caddy" and then ran Brian Deneke down. The date was December 12th, 1997. The place was Amarillo, Texas. The driver of the car, who would be convicted for the murder, was Dustin Camp. Dustin was an athlete, a high school

Thanks, adnauseum. It is hard for anyone who did not live through those times to understand how much the world changed on that day. It was just over a year after the Cuban Missile Crisis (October of 1962) perhaps the closest that we have been to a nuclear war. But the crisis was over and the world was optimistic. And then the assassination and all the mystery surrounding it.. It was devastating for a generation.

"And even in the spending habits of messr's Gates, Allen, and others, you'll find a spending approach that is relatively conservative." I would disagree and ask you to offer any support. I think that they are all risk takers and in numerous biographies ("The Road Ahead" as a stellar example) espouse Liberal policies. Moreover, there is a self-proving fallacy here. You asserted that Conservatives make better business people, I offer several examples tha

It is always hard to refute anecdotal evidence, which after all has the ring of "truthiness" to it. How do you respond to "I knew this guy and he bought the wrong hard drive because he was a Liberal?" But let me offer some more high-profile counter-examples: Bill Gates, Chairman of Microsoft Corporation, is a long-time Liberal and contributor to the Bill Clinton campaign. As is Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft, Larry Page and Sergey Brin,

KFC said "As far as the Religious Right is concerned.....did you know they are Israel's biggest supporters? Falwell who was actually the one who got things started was a big friend of Israel and it was so noted by the leaders of Israel many times, including statements made at his funeral and afterwards." It is perhaps more correct to say that Evangelists , the so-called Religious Right, are willing to use some sort of idealized, non-existent c

So, I turned 52 today. Thats like 350 in internet years....and sometimes I feel that old. It occurred to me that I have been working serious jobs for 30 years. Really, I graduated from college in 1977. And I have been at Stardock for almost a quarter of that time, almost 7 years. The time does indeed fly. This year I posted my most controversial and commented blog post, "Jews On the Internet." Over 100 comments. Many of them of the form "I hate you, I hate you to death" but com
