The the cable modem was given by the ISP when they installed our roadrunner service...Its a Thoshiba PCX 2500. Right, the 1st one thats plugged in is the one that connects. Ok, Ive recently gotten a new desktop 'puter (IBM 2.2ghz celeron 256mb ram...Its a temporary comp from one of those online schools) and have been trying to set it up on a (wired) network with my laptop. Laptop is running XP home and desktop is XP pro. Both have 1 ethernet port.
