I think it's that being christmas time and all people are busy with family and such and don't have the time for blogging. Or at least that's one theory, give it a week or so and they will be back to normal, or at least you can hope

Even if what is written is false, once it is out it doesn't go away so easily, which I think is what your trying to say. Spoken word changes over time, as it gets told and retold, but the written word can be pulled out and is exactly as it was originally written. And you write because you have an audience

One of the joys of life is that you never know what tomorrow will bring. Something wonderful could be just arond the corner. But the down side is that something horrible could be as well. While it is bad that all those people died and even more are hurt, we should live each day to its fullest so that when it's our turn to die (which will come all too soon) we will be ready for it.
