Quoting GirlFriendTess, reply 13As to Christianity and its benign influence; 50 years ago America was the world’s leader in cutting edge science and thus we had a better economy and standards of living. Since that time mostly due to the resurgence of fundamental Christianity, we are now rated at 37th in the world and our standard of living has depreciated accordingly. Sorry. That's just stunningly stupid.
Lula, the change of wording totally proves you're wrong about 'this rock' being Peter. "Thou art Peter, and upon thou I will build my church" would mean what you're saying it means, but he doesn't say that. So what was he talking about just before he said it? As for 'to thee' those things could also be things he gives to all Christians, which would include Peter. He was simply talking to Peter about these things - but we all get the same Holy Sp

GFT, we talk about this stuff all the time. It really isn't a big deal. The Catholic church misinterprets scripture here, or the Protestants do, but someone's wrong, but it doesn't matter. As long as they believe that Christ died for their sins and that people are saved by grace through faith, they're saved. There's a line somewhere that Catholics tend to cross where people's works mean that they are saved, not Jesus' grace. And that l

I guess if there's a demo, then I don't need someone to come answer my questions on the differences between FE and GC2! Although I am a bit excited to buy this one now... get in on the ground floor... Is there anything like the Metaverse for this one?

You youself have restated back to me that you know I can't see your video postings at all. Why are you then replying to my post with a video? That seems rather rude.

As far as I can tell, the deeper we get into what people are made of, what life is made of, and what non-life is made of, the harder it is to jump that gap from non-life to life. How is it possible for it to have formed? Scientists can't figure it out - maybe someday they will. I doubt it though. The machines that are in our cells to make them run, the cyclical nature of life... life has always needed life before it in order to live. The theory that at o

Makes me wonder what is worse - waiting in the boat for the door to open, knowing the bullets are going to come flying at you as soon as it does, or going through the jungle, never knowing whether you're going to be shot at or not...

See, we've now had a reasonable conversation about the color of the sky and where it comes from, without anyone calling anyone else an idiot, or saying they can't understand, comprehend, or speak English properly, or really any insults at all. That's what a conversation looks like.

Jesus has spiritual Lordship over the entire world. The Pope is a usurper. Now here's a delusional belief - that the Pope can say things that contradict scripture and the teachings of Jesus and it counts for more, just because it's more recent.
