I agree that some of the diplomacy language seems a little cheesy. Also, some of the decision options are worded like that. A bit too 'tongue-in-cheek' for what I considered to be a serious galactic simulation.

Ok, I read the very entertaining playthrough by Brad. In it, he mentions the benefits of 'being evil'. I wonder what the consequences are, if any. For example, here (http://www.stardock.com/stardock/articles/galciv/new-6.jpg) the people are unhappy about some strange life-forms sharing the water with them. SE-IV lacked in this category, and I've decided not to buy MOO3 after hearing about its dubious AI.
