You don't understand, Hasbro has nothing to do with it. They're the one filing the lawsuit. Edit: heh.. stereo [Message Edited]
IIRC, you have to completely uninstall sysmetrix 2.xx before installing 3.0, that is you have to delete the folder too (but you can keep your skins in a temp directory). That way, it should work
If there could be more than 1 instance of Object dock opened at the same time, it could be possible (e.g. Excel 2000 and XP is a good example, you can have multiple windows of them). You only would have to assign a "theme" or "profile" to each Object dock opened, so they don't have the same icons. As i'm no programmer, I'm probably talking out of my head on this...
I myself, disable DesktopX when gaming for 1 reason. My desktop is at 1280 and when I play a game at 1024, it can mess up a bit of your desktopX when you exit the game on certain themes. No biggie tho, you just have to close DX and reopen it and voila, everything is fine. As for Windowsblind, like sir Hus said, no problem whatsoever, and performance hit.
Thanx... will try tonight. Was looking for a menu, but I can settle for a folder shortcut.
Sad story... but nicely written
7 2 of them were guesses
Well, I spent all my life studying math (i'm an actuary, for those who know what it is ). Guess it was easy for me...
ditto... sounds very weird.
Semi related to the move... as it happened last week: I'm a level 3 and just a few days ago I could see the skins ratings (even tho I couldn't rate them, which is fine by me) but now, I can't see any ratings. Is it a change in policy for level 3 users or is it related to the move? Thx.
Ok, let's try this here to see if anyone know. In Objectbar, the special folder "quicklaunch" can be easily associated with a button. Example: GT2 by tiggz is a good example (and a great OB skin). If you look at the properties of that button (called "quicklaunch" in the GT2 theme, duh ) it points to "Use special folder" and a drop menu. That drop menu contains Quicklaunch. I'm trying to fi
Well, it has always been that way for me. I know it works with Win2k and WinXP. Dunno about win9x, tho.
On a side note, you don't need to reboot for the files to show up. Just close the program and reopen it and voila. Same with Sysmetrix.
I don't think it's a proxy or firewall thing since I can "check for applications update" no problem. Of course, it only shows me the shareware versions, since i'm not "logged in". The plot thickens Edit: Never mind.. I guess i'll have to scratch having OD at work.. sigh. God, my desktop is sooo boring here <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/mad.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddl
Usually there is no problem with this, i.e. Sysmetrix can get updated weather info without any problem. Could it be that since my computer is still on at home there is a conflict? I did copy and paste my s/n so there wouldn't be any mistakes... hmmm...
Yup, I'm the only one who uses this computer. On a related note, it gives me an error "login failed" in Stardock Central, even tho all my info is correct. Does the moving to new servers that I read in another thread has anything to do with it or is it a code 18? Thx.
On a semi related note: Aside from favorg, do you guys know any program that keeps the icons in your favorites? After a while, they disappear and you're stuck with the generic IE icon for all your sites. Any suggestions appreciated...
I have bought OD and I use it at home. The thing is, I spend about 8 hours/day at work and would like to install it here. Just wondering if it's ok to do so (having 2 installs with the same licence) at 2 different places.
For the rating thingy. I like to see them (I used to until yesterday) as I can see what admins + level 4 think of the skin. My filter is set to 1 or 0, so I can see all of them and see what other ppl give them. It's a curiosity thing for me
Same here... I have the same thing happening.
With a picture of Einstein: (actually a quote of his) "Gravity cannot be held responsible for people falling in love" Rather cute coming from a science genius...
Heh... someone from the outside that tells us what we basically know and take for granted Man, just the thought of returning to the default Windows theme *shudders* Good review.. excellent PR and publicity for Stardock.
I work in Downtown Montreal and I've seen a guy ride such a bike once. To say that people were amazed and pointing fingers at the guy is an understatement
How about a sticky named: "Post your rants over unaccepted wallpaper uploads here". It would clean the rest of the messageboard of those annoying threads started by would-be artists with big egos crying on how WC is unfair to them. I know this comment is maybe harsh, but I'm so fed up with all the whining that seem to happen daily over the wallpaper uploads. Geez! /rant Aaaahhh.. that felt good <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALI
