I will have to check when I get home to see if I have the semi transparent window dragging enabled or not. I am not familiar with nview or hydravision, so I would have to say that they aren't running. If it's an app that I would have had to install, then the answer is a definite no.
I have version 2.2 of WindowFX. This problem has occurred in previous versions of WindowFX also. OK I am confused. Stardock central let me know that I have an upgrade available for WinStyles, but the version looks as if it would be a downgrade. I have to agree with Essencay, and with todays technology, screensavers aren't needed. The only place I use one is at work were I am forced to by policy. They mandate that we have one that is set to 15 minutes, then it locks the screen so that you have to enter your password to gain access. This is stupid also, I just lock my screen myself whenever I get up from my desk. In windows, the "window key + L" instantly locks the screen. So there again, no need for a screen

The main thing about any LCD is that there is a "Native" resolution. Any other resolution is going to look terrible. The native resolution for most 15" LCD's is 1024x768, while the native resolution for most 17" LCD's is 1280x1024. If the LCD is set to its "native" resolution, it looks pretty good, if set to ANYTHING else, it will look terrible. I have a 21" Flat Screen CRT and also have a Flat Panel LCD. Both look great IMHO. I don't know, but I do know that Jario's work is some of the stuff I like best for ObjectDock, and almost all of it is glassy. Of course ObjectDock is kinda modeled after OSX.
If the bootskin is moved after it is applied, you could end up with the problem you described after the reboot. Don't know if this is the case for you or not, but thought I would mention it anyway.
