My question is this: I just played a game with all the civs as good civs. The Drengin declared war on me and I gave them two planets. Our diplmacy went from 'at war' to 'warm'. We were both 'good' civs at the time. Of course, two turns later they declared war again and wiped me out shortly after. Is the A.I. for the Drengin coded to act aggresively whether they are a good or evil race at the start of the game? Would the Arcaens have done the same thing? I really wanted to align and win th

In most of these space games there is no way to keep enemy ships from going wherever they want, including behind your front lines to any planets in any of your sectors. Because of that, you have to defend every star instead of just the ones on the front lines. There should be a way to keep ships from going to the back of your empire, some kind of penalty for flying through others sectors. I realize ships in space can fly wherever they want but more strategic decisions on the front lines would
That's why I think every game should be recorded to the metaverse. I've sent all of mine, but when I get better it wont matter as I cannot compete against people who only post their highest scores. At least I should have the most games played!!! :)
Hi, I've played nine games, and according to the game screen my points added up should be around 25 points. (I know, pathetic) but it only shows 11. Before this last game I posted the metaverse showed 8 games played, 10 metaverse points. I just finished a game and scored 4 points yet it only added 1 to my metaverse score, showing now 9 games played, 11 total points. AUGH
Thankx, the ship list worked. Numskull I am.
This is the second game where I've been given ships to battle the Drengin but I don't see them. I have one sector with two planets...the ships are not in orbit or anywhere in the sector, or anywhere on the map. I ran the turn counter 10 times but still don't know where they might be. AUGHHHHHHHHHH.
I finally had a game last longer than an hour...about two hours. Medium, default AI setup, Sub-normal AI. I was surrounded by the Arcaens and kept them happy so I was able to grow a bit but eventually I kept trading with the Drengins who were at war with my surrounders and the Arcaens came after me and wiped me out pretty easily. When the AI asks for money does that always mean they are a stronger civ or do they demand money at times when they are weaker? I need to sp
My games on Tiny took less than half an hour. In fact, out of 8 games, only one was longer than an hour...that included two games on medium maps taking less than an hour...of course, I suck.
All of my games lasted less than an hour and I lost by being destroyed mostly by the Drengin. I keep reading that the games last for at least a few hours but my games last less than an hour. I've tried to be technological, economic, warlike, I cannot do crap. But I will not give up! AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
I've played strategy games for 20 years and this is tough. I'm playing on Normal, tiny, tried 3 games before I started posting and was equally awful playing those. It's great...I need a challenge. Metaverse thought - It seems every game should be posted for every player. Like me, I could have played 50 games and only posted my best but I like to see how I progress and average for all my games. The metaverse should have highest and best average for all played. James.
I'm so glad I'm unemployed.
I downloaded Armada 2525 Deluxe Edition from The Underdogs and am having a fun time replaying an old favorite. I love watching the planetary attacks hoping I have enough missles, lasers to thwart the slow space invader like attack of the enemies. Fun. :D
