Hi, at Amazon.de looking for GalCiv I have found an offer for GalCic 25€, release 31.05.2003, by Modern Games. Anybody knows if it is an old "Gal. Civ. OS/2"Version", a Copycat or a real offer?
So far the contents of the bonus pack look really good. Much better than I expected. So I am hopeful that SD will come up with an inspired idea to solve this problem. It seems that they are dedicated to this game they "had/have" fresh ideas to distribute and collect customers feedback :) We will wait and see perhaps they simply underestimatd the number of customers with slow or no internet connection at home. Look at the poll about internet connection the mayority voted for cable modem
@MasterMoO Hey I think you gave me the hint where to preorder the game mysefl :D @Calis I love amazon.de but sometimes I wish you could order all the stuff from amazon.com through them.... The distribution of strategy first games well is not really satisfying in Europe... to get Disciples 2 here in Germany was nearlly impossible in the beginning.
I still don´t get it. Though it is possible to create an archive and install it later on .... How does this complicated way of updates prevents pirating? Why not simply create besides the normal into game download through stardock central, another "download file"(to save on disk" which especially asks for the orginal CD to update the game. It couldn´t be so hard to programm a generic installer which such a verifiying function...
Hi Toothy, I secound your plea for a saved "Bonus pack". Having an instable system I think you know all the routine driver updates,wipe computersystem, reinstall the game..... With a 56k dial up modem it is quite annoying (besides the cost) to download the "bouns pack" again. Besides having although a Laptop besides my normal desktop, I would prefer to download the game only 1 time......

:d Hi, I am from Germany and I would like to preorder GalCiv unfortunatly all the online shops don´t take preorders for countrys outside USA / Canada.... Is there any spezific reason behind this policy? Amazon.de for example won´t sell this product aren´t they interessted or .....? (I have seen that I can buy the game the 26th on the stardock site)
